Law

The law degree will appeal to you if you are interested in society and how it works, how we regulate the relationships between people. The academic study of politics is concerned with the sources of conflict, co-operation, power and decision-making within and between societies, how differences are expressed through ideology and organisation, and how, if at all, disagreements and problems are resolved.

This programme combines two major social science subjects: politics and sociology, aiming to equip students with the tools - the concepts, theories, and concrete evidence - to understand changing social and political relations. Politics contributes a focus on conflict and cooperation with a focus on power and processes of collective decision-making. Sociology contributes to an understanding of the wider social context within which politics takes place - the shape of social relations, practices and major social institutions, like, family, economy, and state, incorporating explanations of social stability and change.

This MA in Popular Music Practice focuses on the development and execution of a large–scale, individually tailored music–related project. This project will help you to grow within your areas of specialism and become ready to take the next step in your career.

Over a full year of study (two years if you have chosen the part-time option), you will be pushed to expand and develop your personal, musical and industry practices. Focus on the ways that research, collaboration, performance, production and more can be aligned in your project and practice.

While this programme does not provide a direct entry into the NMCI MSc in Global Sustainable SCM and MSc in Maritime Operations programmes it is a micro-credential contained within both programmes encouraging continuing education.

The course explores a wide range of knowledge and practical skills that supports a career as a Special Needs Assistant in secondary school classrooms. Learners will study subjects that relate to human development, understanding disabilities and special needs. The course provides learners with the opportunity for practical workplace experience in post primary educational settings and or community care settings.

This course will prepare you to teach at post-primary level in two languages. You will take Gaeilge, along with a choice of either French, German or Spanish.
