The National Hairdressing Apprenticeship programme is designed to ensure that the apprentice receives training both on and off the job over a minimum of three years, allowing them to “earn while they learn”.

The course structure is a blend of on-the-job training (80%) in full time employment, and one day a week off-the-job training (20%) with FET College Dhúlaigh,where we provide the necessary skills, techniques, and theory to assist them to become a fully qualified Hairdresser, as well as the confidence to do so.

This apprenticeship programme has been designed by a consortia of sales industry leaders in collaboration with ETB Colleges. It is a 2 year ‘earn and learn’ model and is strongly grounded in practical ‘on-the-job’ work based learning supported by ‘off-the-job’ learning in face to face workshops and an online learning environment. The apprenticeship will develop the skills required to deliver committed, adaptable and ambitious employees into the sales sector while working in a full time position

The 2-year Level 6 Sales Apprenticeship programme is an “earn and learn” model, designed to empower the apprentice with underpinning knowledge, skills and competencies required to excel as a sales employee.

This two-year Level 6 Sales Apprenticeship utilizes an "earn and learn" model to develop high-performing sales specialists.This structure ensures that participants master the essential competencies—from lead generation and negotiation to relationship management—needed to excel in a competitive commercial landscape.

On completion of this two-year apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified sales specialist, with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Sales.

This course meets the criteria for the Failte Ireland Industry Qualified Tour Guide Directory. The National Tourist Guiding Badge is issued to successful students upon graduation.

The National Tour Guide Training programme at Dublinia will provide participants with the skills, knowledge and competencies to deliver and manage a comprehensive tour management and guiding service for tourists visiting and travelling in Ireland. The programme is relevant, practical and responsive to industry needs.

There are three modules: Irish Tour Guiding, Irish Natural Heritage & Culture and National Tour Management. Each module carries 15 credits.

National Tour Guiding, Special Purpose Award is aimed at people who have a keen interest in heritage, culture, history and traditions of Ireland and their local areas with an enthusiasm for sharing this with others.

On successful completion of the course, you will receive the National Tour Guiding Badge (white) and be included in the Fáilte Ireland Industry Qualified Tour Guide Directory.

The aim of this course is to enable the students to acquire the relevant knowledge, skill and competence to provide guiding and tour management services for tourists visiting and travelling in Ireland. Upon successful completion of this course, graduates will be provided with Tour Guiding Badges and will be registered on the directory of qualified tour guides with Fáilte Ireland.

Develop the professional, technical, social and administrative skills needed to deliver a professional tour guiding experience to visitors. National Tour Guides may work anywhere in Ireland.

This Nature and Adventure Leadership course will teach you how to lead groups on low land trails through Irish woodlands and in coastal environments safely and responsibly. As a Lowland Leader and National Powerboat Certified skipper, you will have the skills to teach people about native flora and fauna in Ireland’s ecosystems, and share knowledge of ecological sustainability, conservation and biodiversity as you help connect people to both forest and coastal environments.

This course will give you the skills to further pursue a degree in ecology or outdoor education after the course if you wish.

Nautical Science has three main elements: navigation, cargo operations, and ship operations. In other words, the control of a ship; the safe operation of a ship, including the protection of life and the environment; Shipboard administration, and the handling, loading and care of cargoes which may be as diverse as petroleum products, general cargo, or thousands of new cars or passengers.

This course is designed for those who wish to pursue a career as a deck officer aboard ship. It provides a comprehensive education in navigation and other ship board activities.

The programme is aimed at professional seafarers with an undergraduate degree in Nautical Science who want to further their education and expand employment opportunities both at sea and ashore. On completion of BSc Honours in Nautical Science – Professional successful candidates will be eligible to apply for a Chief Mate Certificate of Competency (CoC) oral examination.

This programme is also available as an Academic only mode of study.

The programme is aimed at professional seafarers wishing to prepare and apply for a Chief Mate Certificate of Competency (CoC) oral examination.

The programme is designed for experienced seafarers with a minimum of 36 months of qualifying seagoing service. On programme completion successful candidates will attain an MTU Special Purpose Award and will be eligible to apply for Navigational OƯicer of the Watch Certificate of Competency (CoC) oral examination.

The programme is designed for fishing vessel deck oƯicers who hold Skipper Full or Second Hand Full Certificates of Competency and wish to gain Mercantile Marine qualifications. On programme completion the candidates will attain an MTU Special Purpose Award and will be eligible to apply for OƯicer of the Watch/Master on ships less than 500GT Near Coastal Certificate of Competency (CoC) oral examination.
