This course aims to provide students with the skill and knowledge necessary for employment in the Sports and Leisure industry. It consists of both practical and theoretical training in various aspects of Sports Studies and Body massage. It will provide the student with the knowledge to progress into other specialties in the sport and recreation/sports injury industries.

The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to maintain and repair a range of sports surfaces. On completion of the programme participants will be confident in undertaking a range of maintenance requirements including scarifying, feeding, mowing, carrying out a variety of repair activities including divotting, patching and or plugging. They will be able to plan, prepare and set out areas for a range of sporting activities while understanding the importance of health and safety in a sports surface sector.

This BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy, gives you the opportunity to qualify and work as a professional sports therapist with the option to progress to a master’s in Physiotherapy and become a qualified physiotherapist.

This course aims to provide learners with the skill necessary to work in the sports and recreation/sports therapy industries. Sports therapists provide a valuable service to the sports industry, specialising in the prevention and management of soft tissue injuries through manual massage techniques and electrical treatments. Stu­dents will study a range of sub­jects, with a particular emphasis being placed on anatomy, physio assistant theory and sports massage.
