This course enhances the leaner’s knowledge as a Personal Trainer to include advanced nutrition, periodisation and advanced training techniques and programme design for special population. The strength and conditioning module familiarises learners with exercise prescription specifically to improve athletic and sports performance.  Strength and Conditioning comprises of the entire development of the athlete and what is needed to develop physical performance. This includes plyometrics, speed and agility, endurance and core stability with strength training being just one component.

The aim of this Diploma in Personal Training (Gym-based Exercise) is to enable learners to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide Personal Training and Gym-based exercise to the general public and to gain employment in the Fitness industry.

The ATU MPharm will deliver a programme of pharmacy education and training which meets all the requirements set out in pharmacy law, allowing the student to develop all the competencies necessary to become registered to practise as a pharmacist in Ireland.
