On the Chemistry courses you will build a deep understanding of chemical principles, from molecular structure and reaction mechanisms to analytical and practical laboratory skills, giving you a solid foundation in both theoretical and experimental chemistry. You will also gain transferrable problem-solving, quantitative and research skills that are valuable for careers in science, industry, education, or further studies.

The Advanced Childhood Early Learning & Care course seeks to extend students knowledge in theoretical approaches and provides learners with the skills needed to work as a room leader/supervisor in a childcare setting.

The only course of its kind in Northern Ireland, the BSc (Hons) Cinematic Arts programme is for students who are interested in high quality storytelling on screen. If you are a creative thinker interested in becoming a film director; screenwriter; film producer or production manager; cinematographer; art director, postproduction supervisor, film editor and colour grader; tv and commercial director or researcher then this course is an excellent way to gain the knowledge and experience needed to start your career.

This one-year course concentrates on developing students knowledge and practical skills in the art of cinematography and provides an opportunity to work with experienced teachers to kick-start a career in filmmaking and learn valuable skills needed to enter into the film industry.

Students will acquire practical skills in film camera operations with an emphasis placed on the roles and functions of the camera. These skills will be evidenced through practical projects using high end SONY digital cameras. The productions will ensure the acquisition of other important cinematography skills including lighting, digital editing, and scriptwriting. Students will also learn the art of traditional darkroom black and white portrait photography.

This 4-week blended course will equip industry professionals (textile and apparel designers, buyers, brands, manufacturers) with the most essential knowledge on the latest circular solutions, innovations, certifications and regulations, as well as the skillset and network needed to practically apply this know-how to your own business and design practice.

New roads, rail-links, bridges and airports are always needed. New buildings are required for the public and private sectors and older buildings are redeveloped. Civil engineers are required to plan, design, construct and maintain these facilities.

This course helps students identify and build their skills in problem solving, design and management. Students manage and design projects of all scales as individuals and as part of teams, on topics such as Hydrology, Structural Analysis, Geotechnical and CAD. Sustainability, renewable energy, and environmental engineering are integral parts of this course.

Ensuring that we protect our natural environment while maintaining this critical infrastructure is an increasingly important part of what Civil Engineers and Civil Engineering Technicians do.  

Our course is broadly based and covers the Core Civil Engineering disciplines of Highways, Structures, Geotechnics, Water and Environmental. You will study the fundamental engineering science that underlies these disciplines and apply this knowledge to the Design and Construction of a wide variety of Civil Engineering Projects from Motorways to Buildings, Bridges, Water & Wastewater Schemes and Environmental Projects.

You will learn about the importance of developing Sustainable Solutions for Civil Engineering Projects. You will develop the analytical skills and structured approach to problem solving that underlies Civil Engineering.
