The ESE Academy (E-Cubers) has partnered with the University of Limerick (UL) to deliver Ireland’s first Equipment Systems Engineering apprenticeship at level 9 (MEng).

This Apprenticeship programme provides experienced engineers with a comprehensive framework to manage the implementation of Industry 4.0 innovations in their employer’s equipment. This two-year MEng, in conjunction with vibrant Communities of Practice (CoP), provides an ideal framework for the apprentice to comprehensively and efficiently evaluate both disruptive and sustaining innovation solutions. After they have qualified as Equipment Systems Engineers (ESEs), learners will be able to remain engaged with the CoPs throughout their long and productive careers.

This course is designed to equip the students with essential business skills. It not only provides the learners with the administrative and IT competencies required in today’s workplace but also fosters the development of transferable skills that are highly valued by employers.

The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to plant, grow and maintain a range of flowering plants within a range of horticultural environments. Throughout the programme learners will be required to prepare, plant and maintain within a variety of settings including carrying out maintenance work on an established flower bed or boarder, design and plant a new flowering area and prepare hangding baskets and or window boxes.

On completion of this programmes participants will be able to complete an array of soft landscaping activities confidently.

The aim of this programme is to equip learners with the knowledge, skill and competency to achieve a QQI Level 4 in Establishing Trees and Shrubs 4N0666. Throughout the programme learners will learn major factors the affect the soil suitability, identify common problems to include assessing plant quality, pest and diseases, this should on completion allow learners to prepare an area for planting including soil preparation, applying compost, manure and fertiliser.

Learners will be able to plant a range of tress and shrubs correctly, training plants to grow, be able to water plants using a range of different methods, whiles maintaining to any health and safety issues.

This course will prepare students for entrance into Arts or European Studies programmes in Third Level institutions. It will also give students essential skills in two European languages: French and Spanish.

Students will study and learn to deal with complex and challenging topics including revenue management, public relations, marketing, technical and production operations.

This one year add-on Honours Degree follows on from the Degree in Event Management to give students an in-depth knowledge of the Event and Hospitality industry and generate superb employment opportunities. This 3-year degree programme builds the fundamental knowledge and skills of students for a career in the events industry, by mixing event modules such as Event Risk Management, Event Project Management, Event Production & Design, Event Fundraising & Sponsorship and Event Operations Management, with a solid foundation of business focussed modules in areas of marketing, financial management and entrepreneurship.

The course also includes modules which encourage the personal development of students including, Leadership & Team Building, Research & Writing Skills and Volunteerism & Community Events.

This course offers students the opportunity to develop the necessary skills and appropriate knowledge to prepare for careers in this specialised sector of the marketing industry. It also concentrates on developing skills in public relations, organisation, planning, IT and time management.

This course also provides a foundation in business, internet and communication, as well as a background in public relations and marketing. It will provide the student with the opportunity to showcase all the knowledge and skills learnt during the course through the planning, preparation and production a real life event.

Event Management focuses on the management and production of corporate, leisure, cultural and religious events. This course provides students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to take a concept and see it materialise into an event.

Progression links to relevant degree courses are also an option open to successful graduates. In particular, on completion of this course, students may apply for advanced entry into Year Two of the BSc Event Management (Honours) degree course in TU Dublin , subject to interview.
