This course will teach you how to sail and windsurf, drive a powerboat and paddle in a kayak on the river and sea. It allows you to become a Level 1 Kayaking Instructor, a Lowland Leader and a National Powerboat Certified Skipper, helping connect people to both coastal and forest environments. It will also give you the skills to pursue pathways toward both sailing and windsurfing instructorships after the course if you wish.

Both include an eight month period of Cooperative Education spent in an appropriate industrial environment. The course provides a broad and practical programme of study, which gives you a good understanding of aircraft design, aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, control, materials, avionics, business and maintenance, and enables you to work in all sectors of the aerospace industry.

Aerospace engineering covers the design and development of all types of aerial and space vehicles. Aerospace engineers bring concepts to reality by applying the principles of engineering to the design, manufacture and operation of highly-sophisticated technologies for use in aviation and space.

Engineers work as part of team using mathematical tools to predict the performance of these vehicles, and perform aerodynamic and structural analysis on evolving designs.

The course content is designed in collaboration with industry partners to meet the needs of the ever-evolving agri-food industry. Topics covered are contemporary and relevant both nationally and internationally. The lectures are supplemented with relevant examples, case studies, projects, assignments, site visits, web tools, and interactive media.
