The aim of this full time course is to enable the learner to acquire knowledge, skills and competencies in payroll, accounts, office administration and medical secretary roles.Learners are enabled to work independently and under supervision providing administration services and support in a range of office administration contexts including medical administration

The purpose of this full time course is to enable the learner to develop the relevant knowledge skill and competence to use a range of skills and tools, under direction and with limited autonomy, in familiar situations. It enables the learner to participate in and contribute to modern society, to pursue a range of employment opportunities or to progress to further education or training. 

Three streams are offered: Office Administrator, Payroll Assistant, Manual and Computerised, Sage Micro Pay, Bookkeeping and Accounts Assistant, Manual and Computerised, Sage Line 50 Software Package.

The aim of this course is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence required to carry out reception frontoffice related operations, whilst achieving excellence in customer service across a range of industries. Students will acquire a proficiency in modern office technologies, and a minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute, enabling to carry out effective office administration.

This program is designed to enhance employment prospects for those seeking supervisory roles within an office or business environment. As an advanced progression from Level 5 Office Administration, it provides a sophisticated blend of theoretical knowledge and advanced practical skills, mastering complex office processes and management practices essential for modern administrative leadership.

This course is designed to support students explore options for either work or for going on to further education whilst gaining their QQI Level 4 Major Award. Split over three phases, Kick Start offers optional training modules in areas such as hospitality/catering, retail skills, IT/office administration or they may opt for a general learning award whilst gaining practical work experience with an employer.

New skills are acquired through a combination of practical demonstration, instruction, supervised practice, e-learning and on-the-job training with an host-company

This course covers Office Skills at Level 4 with English and develops a solid foundation in IT skills. It will allow the learners to move on to do a variety of QQI Level 5 courses in Rathmines College including Business – Finance or IT, Office Administration, Marketing, Legal Studies and Computer Programming (if they demonstrate an aptitude for Maths).

Office Skills is a part-time Back to Education Initiative Programme (BTEI) which allows learners to get good Office Skills with English.

This course provides students with skills and knowledge specifically for the medical, dental, HSE and general health sector.

All of the required office specialisms coupled with medical terminology and use of the Socrates medical package & Practice Evolve meaning that students are well equipped for employment as administrators in the Legal & Medical sector.

The Computer and Office Skills program is a practical, career-focused course designed to bridge the gap between basic technology use and professional administrative proficiency. In today’s digital-first workplace, this course equips students with the essential tools to manage office environments efficiently.
