This practical one-year business course is designed to provide an excellent foundation for learners wishing to progress to Business Degree Programmes at Third Level. This course will allow the learner to build skills in marketing, retail sales, communications, bookkeeping and information technology. This course also provides learners with the knowledge and core business skills to enter employment directly. Students will gain foundational knowledge in the areas of marketing and sales. Business Studies with Beauty and Spa Management prepares you to meet the sector’s need for highly skilled and trusted professionals who can establish strong relationships with clients, deliver services in a professional, efficient and hygienic manner, and progress to management roles within the industry.

The purpose of this award is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skills and competence to work independently and under supervision in an administrative role in a range of business contexts and/or to progress to further and higher education and training.

Business Studies with Event Management includes both the creative and business aspects of event management. During your studies, you are encouraged and facilitated to further develop your creativity and also acquire strong business know-how. By combining technical event management skills with business competencies, you can work and progress your career in a wide range of event-related settings.

The BBs (Hons) in Business Studies with Event Management includes both the creative and business aspects of event management. During your studies, you are encouraged and facilitated to further develop your creativity and also acquire strong business know-how. By combining technical event management skills with business competencies, you can work and progress your career in a wide range of event-related settings. There is a full semester of work placement and/or the option to study at one of our partner universities across Europe, as well as regular field trips and guest lectures. 

Offering a balance of theoretical and practical learning that explores the latest trends and practices in event management, this course equips you with the practical skills to coordinate the interconnected aspects of the process from pre-event planning and design to post-event debriefing and evaluation, and to progress to leadership roles in the events sector. The Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) programme will provide you with a broad business education. You will study the core business principles of accounting, economics, risk management and insurance, human resource management and marketing. Students taking BBS with French will study the French language stream throughout the four years of the programme, along with their regular Business subjects.

The course offers a wide range of subjects that provide learners with the opportunity to gain knowledge in many areas of business and particularly in areas of IT and Accounting. It provides learners with the ability to produce financial statements, using the most up to date accounting software. It provides the chance to obtain up to date IT skills and knowledge of e-business relevant for the modern business environment.

This is a one-year full-time programme that provides learners with a broad introduction to marketing, economics and accounting combined with intensive training in IT and computerised accounts.

Learners will also gain a strong introduction to the three main business subjects – Economics, Marketing and Accounting.

The Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) programme will provide you with a broad business education. You will study the core business principles of accounting, economics, risk management and insurance, human resource management and marketing. Students taking BBS with Japanese will study the Japanese language stream throughout the four years of the programme, along with their regular Business subjects.
