This dynamic and highly student-centred course is unique to the Wexford Campus. Students are provided with the opportunity to gain creative skills, creative knowledge, aesthetic awareness and professional experiences in contemporary visual art. A forum for exchanging diverse opinions and ideas is provided through group critique, field trips, and a visiting artists programme.

Projects allow students to assemble a portfolio of work suitable to their particular interests which they may use to gain access to higher qualifications.

The aim of this one year full time course is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge skills and competence to work autonomously and independently in a fine art context and/or to progress to higher education and training.

Learners have the opportunity to build on skills learned at Level 5 and produce a personal body of work, focusing on specific projects.

Applicants will demonstrate specialised knowledge across a range of fine art disciplines in 2 and 3 dimensions.

This one-year Level 6 Art and Design foundation course introduces the learner to a variety of areas in art, design and communication. The course is an excellent foundation for any Level 8 design award, introducing a broad range of design disciplines in Fashion, Graphic Design, Illustration, Interior Design/Architecture, Textile Design before students choose their pathway.

This course is designed to begin or build on your current portfolio and equip you with the foundations of what is required to present a high quality portfolio.

This course is fundamentally designed to provide students with a portfolio of the highest quality that will attain entry to Art and Design courses at third level both nationally and internationally.This programme may be delivered through a blended (hybrid) learning model where learners will be required to attend on-site and online classes.

This programme enables you to teach Art and Design at second level. It begins from the place of creative making in the studio setting where students are introduced to a variety of creative disciplines including; Fashion Design, Painting, Ceramics, Graphic Design, Sculpture, Animation & Motion Design, Printmaking and Contemporary Practice. Concurrent to this you will study educational theory and practice which will equip you with the teaching aptitudes and skills to enter into the profession of teaching Art and Design.

In this series of classes, you will have opportunities to explore practical, conceptual and ethical issues raised by endeavour of making art in the archive. You will debate the merits of different artistic and curatorial practices and you will meet archivists who are charged with making materials in their care accessible.

This is a portfolio preparation and general art course for students who wish to gain entry to a third level Art College in Ireland, the U.K. or abroad. The emphasis will be placed on the preparation of a balanced portfolio as well as developing skills in the art, craft and design areas. The portfolio, showing the student's individual sense of design and pattern, can use a wide variety of the modules covered on the course as well as the student's own interpretation of colour and design. Depending on the combination of modules a student can achieve a qualification in Fine Art or Design/2D.

This one-year course is a foundation course in art and design - the portfolio you make is the result of this year of study. This one-year QQI Level6 Advanced Art course offers students an excellent opportunity to further develop their artistic skillsand creativity in a caring and professional environment. This course enables participants to prepare an Advanced Portfolio in the field of Art and Design. The aim of the course is to provide students with the opportunity to acquire the skill and knowledge to competently work independently in a fine art & design context or to progress to higher education and training.

The programme works directly with an urban embedded novel ecology of the NCAD FIELD site. This taskscape acts as an outdoor classroom, a site for nature connection, commoning and a testing site for multi-species futures.

The programme supports a range of creative approaches and interdisciplinary art and design practitioners that wish to connect and work in the space of critical ecologies and expanded environments.
