This course meets the needs of students who wish to develop a portfolio of valuable skills, for example: Architectural Drawing, CAD2D and 3D, Architectural Model Making and Design. These skills will equip students to find employment in the architectural, engineering and design sectors and/or also to progress to third level colleges. Students achieve a level of competence and confidence in their skills in order to maximise their abilities and potential for the future.

The overall aim of the Advanced Art & Design programme is to provide the student with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills and competence to work independently in a fine art/design context or to progress to higher education and training. This course is designed for those who want to develop a professional practice in the visual arts.

This course will enable students to work with world-renowned professional skincare and body products, such as Yonka, to develop practical expertise in a range of treatments. Students will complete case studies on guest clients for each module, performing treatments such as body massage and figure analysis, microdermabrasion, IPL, radiofrequency, microneedling and learning correct use of body electrical machines. 

As part of this Beauty Aesthetics and Body Treatments course, students actively design, set up and participate in the Institute’s commercial salon, which runs on a weekly basis. This experience empowers the students, building their confidence to make the transition to professional beauty therapist.

This Advanced Certificate in Business Management and Accounting course is designed to equip learners with a portfolio of skills required in the financing, planning, marketing & management of a small business whilst also providing the necessary entry requirements for entry to Third level. Business Management students may have the opportunity to apply for a three-week Erasmus+ Placement during the academic year where they may work in a European business organisation. This is a full-time one-year course and runs from September to May.

This one year Business Management with PR and Digital Marketing course provides learners with essential skills in planning, finance, and leadership. The Advanced Childhood Early Learning & Care course seeks to extend students knowledge in theoretical approaches and provides learners with the skills needed to work as a room leader/supervisor in a childcare setting.

Graduates can progress to degree programmes at third level or progress directly into employment in the childcare sector.

This course will equip learners (who already hold a QQI Level 5 related award or equivalent) with a range of skills and knowledge to implement and deliver community development programmes in a structured and co-ordinated way. It also provides a gateway to further study at Level 7 or Level 8.

This course is designed to equip the learner with a high level of knowledge, skill and competence within a range of subjects related to the digital media and web design industry in which learners intend to seek employment or further study options in higher education. You will learn a wider range of areas in digital media production including: responsive web design, app design, digital film/video, digital sound, web animation and graphics, image processing and exploration of future technologies in the industry.
