The BA (Hons) Marketing focuses on core areas of marketing such as communications, planning, management, consumer behaviour, services marketing, marketing research, strategic marketing digital marketing and events marketing. It aims to develop learners' knowledge of the theory and practice of marketing, necessary for them to secure employment and perform in all key areas of marketing in a broad range of employment environments.

The aim of our BA (Hons) in Marketing programme is to provide a solid foundation for students to become effective marketing professionals within a contemporary business environment. The programme will inspire participants to see the possibilities open to a business organisation of an effective implementation of up-to-date integrated marketing concepts and strategies, and the role of new technologies and innovative thinking in achieving these. Learners benefit from small class sizes and have the unique option to study a modern language (French or Spanish) to enhance their global employability.

The aim of this one year full time course is to provide the learner with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills and competence to work in a marketing and/or business environment. It provides an introduction to the principle elements of marketing skills and practices.

The programme also includes related study areas such as economics, behavioural studies, business skills and communications, to provide a firm foundation for the learner. Extra supports are also available, where necessary, with literacy, numeracy, IT, career guidance and counselling.

The key modules of Marketing, Advertising and Behavioural Studies, combined with core business and IT skills, prepare the student for immediate entry into the workplace or for progression to further study.

This course provides a solid foundation in the synchronized disciplines of marketing and visual merchandising, demonstrating how they work together to drive short-term sales while building long-term brand identity. Learners will explore the core concepts of brand identity and learn how to conceptualize and execute original design concepts. The curriculum focuses heavily on practical visual merchandising strategies, equipping students with the skills needed to design windows, create compelling in-store displays, manage online product styling, and dress dedicated event spaces.

The BA (Hons) in Marketing & Digital Media is a four year degree course, which prepares students for employment in marketing in the digital age. The first two semesters consist of general marketing and business subjects and then students study the specific marketing, advertising & media subjects from semesters 3-8.
