Travel and Tourism is an exciting, dynamic industry that offers a broad range of job opportunities in airlines, tour operators, travel agencies, hotels and the hospitality sector, visitor attractions, venues and tourist boards.

This course, which has been running for 20 years, offers internationally- recognised industry relevant qualifications taught by an academic staff with relevant and diverse industry experience.

Many employers in the travel industry contact the college directly when recruiting staff. Work experience is an integral component of this course. Previous students have obtained work placements across the Travel and Tourism sector.

This one year course is designed to prepare students for all aspects of the growing tourism sector in Ireland. This course provides students with the necessary skills to take up employment in the Tourism industry or in the travel area as members of Airline Cabin Crew and Travel Consultancy. The course also includes a unique Cabin Crew Course, accredited by International Academy of Travel (IAOT). This course also gives students the possibility to be selected for an Erasmus exchange.

This course will enable learners to gain the relevant knowledge, skills and competence to deepen their understanding of the dynamic tourism industry.

The aim of this Tourism & Hospitality degree is to develop the operational skills of a graduate to work within the tourism sector. This programme is experiential in nature and combines practical classes, field trips and work experience all of which will equip a graduate to work in the area of tourism and hospitality both here in Ireland and around the world.

This course is a three-year full-time level 7 programme designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to perform effectively at the supervisory level within the tourism and hospitality services sector. The Higher Diploma in Arts in Tourism Destination Marketing is suited to professionals currently employed within the tourism industry and aims to promote and encourage the development of advanced knowledge and skills in the area of tourism destination marketing.

The programme is also suited to those from complementary backgrounds who wish to enter the tourism field. In this context, it may be of particular interest to people from an arts, heritage, languages, geography, marketing or business background.

The Bachelor of Business in Tourism Management provides students with the expertise and knowledge needed to become a successful manager or entrepreneur in this challenging and exciting industry.

This course has a strong emphasis on the broad business, management and marketing subjects complemented with tourism specific modules. Learning is based around class delivered lectures, field trips, practical lab classes, guest speakers, and both group and individual project work.

The course comprises both theoretical and practical modules, and students will gain an understanding of business and marketing.

This course is designed to prepare you for employment in the tourism industry or to progress to further and higher education.

You will engage in industry-linked modules, enjoy guest speakers from tourism careers and visit a range of tourist attractions. Work experience and a variety of teaching methods gives you the opportunity to link theory with the practical and gain a broad understanding of how the tourism industry operates. You will gain employment both at home or abroad in visitor attractions, travel agencies, hotels, reservation sales, heritage centres and reception areas.

This course aims to give students a detailed understanding of the Tourism Industry in Ireland. It provides learners with the necessary skills to work as cabin crew and passenger service agents, including the use of industry specific IT applications e.g Amadeus. Students will gain experience in a Tourism related business by completing a work placement during the course.
