The purpose of this course is to enable students to acquire the skills, knowledge, and competence to work independently and under supervision in an administrative role in a range of business contexts and/or to progress to further and or higher education and training. The course provides a combination of business and IT related subjects including; Business administration skills, Bookkeeping and Payroll, Spreadsheets, Word Processing and Digital Presentation Skills. By the end of the course students will be able to demonstrate a broad range of specialised knowledge applicable to business administration in a range of sectors. T

This intensive practice-based degree in acting is taught through a series of skills based courses in acting technique, voice, movement, and singing which form the core subjects. Learning is also complemented by classes in Dramaturgy and Text Analysis.

This foundation course is aimed primarily at school leavers who are interested in preparing themselves for three-year actor training at conservatoire level, either at The Lir or a similar academy. With an additional focus on broadening students’ reading and understanding of plays and theatre history, it also prepares students for broader drama degrees and related areas of study and work.

As this is only a one year course, it does not attract government funding. All students offered places on the foundation course are required to fund both the annual fee and all living costs privately.

Actuarial Mathematics could be the perfect course for you. It’s accredited by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK, meaning you may be exempt from some of the exams needed to qualify as an actuary in Ireland and the UK.

Before you embark on learning essential actuarial knowledge and theories, you’ll be given solid mathematical training. In your first two years, you’ll study the fundamental mathematical principles that underpin the actuarial and financial models covered in later years. You’ll also study computer programming, economics and accounting.

The BSc Actuarial Science and Risk Management programme has been designed by qualified actuaries to enable students to develop the theoretical and practical skills required to pursue a career as an actuary in the pensions and insurance sectors, or in the wider financial industry.

In addition, students may gain up to six exemptions from the initial technical professional exams required to qualify as an actuary via our accreditation agreement with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.

The course in Administration and IT for Business is designed for those who wish to gain advanced skills in office administration, IT skills, payroll and book-keeping techniques. A wide range of computer packages are taught in line with the requirements of the modern office.

This course provide learners with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of information and communications technology and practical IT skills required in the performance of a broad range of administrative and organisational tasks. This course suits learners who want to acquire computer skills for the first time and learners who may have been in the work force before, but who now need to update and develop new skills. The course will build confidence and those who complete it will have gained improved communications and interpersonal skills. Participants will develop excellent keyboard, IT and accountancy skills and learn the basics of good business administration.

The MAcc Advanced Accounting with Placement is an integrated undergraduate programme that combines undergraduate and Masters-level study in one four-year course.

The MAcc programme prepares students for a career in the accountancy profession. It contains lots of practical content, engagement with local employers and a work-based placement.
