This course has been designed in response to the wellness movement that has captured the sports, recreation and exercise world. The addition of new modules such as Health Promotion and Understanding Mental Health bring a new focus which captures the importance of maintaining an active and healthy body and mind. Learners also have the opportunity to obtain the Certificate in Exercise and Fitness provided by the National Council for Exercise and Fitness and accredited by the University of Limerick (subject to numbers).

This course qualifies you as a Fitness Professional with a strong portfolio of specialisms which include  Advanced Personal Training and Strength & Conditioning for Athletes and Teams. This four year honours degree in Exercise & Health Fitness Management provides you with a broad introduction to a career in the fitness industry. In the first year, you will study a curriculum to qualify as a Fitness Instructor/Gym Instructor.

This is an additional one year course designed to prepare students for a career in sports coaching, the sports and leisure industry or to provide a pathway to further study.

This is a one-year, intensive full-time programme that aims to develop skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a career in the leisure and fitness industry with a focus on coaching. Learners also have the opportunity to obtain the Certificate in Exercise and Fitness provided by the National Council for Exercise and Fitness and accredited by the University of Limerick (subject to numbers).

Students will gain the knowledge base and practical experience required by a health fitness professional in today’s leisure industry. Successful students will be proficient in areas such as screening, fitness testing, programme development, class instruction and the general day to day running of a gym or leisure centre. They will acquire the relevant knowledge in anatomy, physiology and nutrition to ensure they are competent in their delivery of safe and effective fitness programmes.

This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to further develop the range of skills completed at level 5 for a career in the fitness and leisure industry as well as providing learners with the expertise to work on a one-to-one basis as an advanced Personal Trainer OR Sports Massage Therapist.

The course covers a range of practical application with skill-based learning and the theory at the core of the outcomes. Learn the technical know-how, improve your own fitness, and learn to instruct others in a safe way. Practical work is carried out in a gym environment. Students will also have the opportunity to gain a swim teacher qualification.

Exercise Sciences (Common Entry) is an exciting new four year degree path for those wishing to pursue a programme of study in the area of exercise science but who also wish to graduate in a specialist field. It is for students interested in Exercise Science as a broad career, but who are unsure about their specific areas of interest or career plan.

Successful completion of the first two years of the common entry programme in Exercise Science is required in order to progress onto one of the specialist Level 8 exit award pathways.

Take the next step in your facilities management career with this industry-recognised Level 4 Certificate, accredited by the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM). Designed for professionals managing day-to-day operations or aspiring to supervisory roles, this online programme provides the practical knowledge and confidence needed to handle complex, non-routine FM challenges.

Upon completion, you will receive the IWFM Level 4 Certificate in Facilities Management, equivalent to a level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications.

You’ll become familiar with the business specialties and disciplines affecting both operational and strategic management decisions in such enterprises.

The BA (Hons) Fashion Buying and Merchandising is a practical level 8 honours degree awarded by University of Essex that prepares students for careers in the global fashion industry.

The programme combines creative insight with commercial business skills, supporting students as they develop expertise in trend research, product development, garment technology, fashion marketing, merchandising, and sustainability.

This Fashion Buying, Styling and Visual Merchandising course equips learners with core skills that are required for a career in the fashion industry. An appreciation of fashion product, design and fashion history lead to an understanding of range development and the processes required to market and promote fashion businesses. A variety of individual and team-working projects are also offered, providing many opportunities to develop the confidence and skills required to progress to the Level 6 Fashion Industry Practice Advanced Certificate. Learners can also develop work suitable for portfolio preparation required for third level colleges application.

The Fashion Craft and Making course opens up many opportunities for aspiring fashion entrepreneurs. Students develop lifelong skills and receive a thorough introduction to their chosen area of interest, such as dressmaking, tailoring, occasion wear, or specialist garments (including adaptive clothing or band T-shirts). Core technical modules in pattern drafting and garment construction enable learners to design and create garments to a professional standard. Most students choose to progress to our Advanced Fashion Design course to further develop their craft, making, and entrepreneurial skills.
