Smart Product Engineering is aimed at those with an interest in the design and development of digital devices and services that they encounter every day.

A novel teaching and learning approach focussed on developing product solutions from the outset is employed whereas existing programmes tend to start with component analysis and building up to system development. This approach has a strong practical focus, producing graduates with the ability to conceive, design, implement, operate and evaluate smart product prototypes. The students will operate with a system engineering perspective while using rapid prototyping to get a real-world understanding of design, production and user-driven constraints in new product development.

This one year, full time programme is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to work as a Special Needs Assistant in a variety of educational settings. Learners will have the opportunity to gain work experience in an Early Years Setting, working and caring for children, aged 0-6 years, with a variety of needs. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will be qualified to work as an SNA in Early Years settings such as creches, pre-schools but also in primary and secondary schools.

This course is designed as a collaboration between QQI and FAI and also between Pearson Awarding Body (BTEC) and Liverpool Football Club.

This advanced soccer coaching course is designed for those aiming to coach and perform at a professional level. Led by a UEFA B–licensed Head Coach, the program integrates high-performance coaching with applied sports science and professional player analysis. Students gain deep insights into club operations and athlete development while earning advanced FAI coaching awards, providing a direct pathway to elite coaching opportunities in modern football.

This QQI Level 6 programme offers an exciting pathway to advance your career in rehabilitation, disability, healthcare, and community support services. Designed to equip you with in-demand skills, it prepares you to confidently support individuals using ethical, person-centred, and evidence-based approaches within dynamic multidisciplinary teams.

Throughout the course, you will develop a powerful combination of practical expertise and professional knowledge in areas such as rehabilitation practice, communication, leadership, and personal development. You will learn how to promote health and wellbeing, manage workplace challenges, and deliver inclusive support that empowers individuals to live independently and with dignity.Assessment on the course will include skills demonstrations, assignments and projects, reflective learner journals, presentations and workplace assessments of activities.

The Social and Therapeutic Horticulture Facilitator Training Programme course provides learners with the skills, understanding and practical experience of working with plants and gardens to assist in achieving positive cognitive and behavioural changes in young people, teenagers and adults.

At the end of the Social and Therapeutic Horticulture Facilitator Training Programme, learners will be able to offer Social and Therapeutic Horticulture programmes and sessions to young children, teenagers and adults from all different backgrounds.

The aim of this programme is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence, to work independently and or take responsibility for the work of others in providing a range of services in a social and vocational rehabilitation context and or to progress to higher education and training.

Social care workers provide professional individual or group care to clients with personal and social needs, in a caring, compassionate, non-judgmental way. Client groups include children and adolescents in residential care; young people in detention schools; people with intellectual or physical disabilities; people who are homeless; people with alcohol/drug dependency; families in the community, older people, and asylum-seekers/refugees.

This course will familiarise you with the latest concepts and theoretical developments in the relevant academic disciplines, and help you to develop as a self-aware, reflective, altruistic, empathic social care professional.

This course prepares students to have a rewarding career in social care, a profession characterised by working in partnership with people who experience marginalisation, or disadvantage, or who have special needs.

Social care practitioners work in a wide variety of settings with a wide variety of people: children and adolescents in residential care, people with learning or physical disabilities, the homeless, people with alcohol/ drug dependency, families in the community, older people or recent immigrants to Ireland. This programme is delivered through a blend of lectures, workshops and two full semesters of off-site, supervised practice placementSocial studies examines  the past and current behaviour of individuals and societies. It predicts possible future human behaviour through the study of subjects such as economics, geography, politics and psychology. This knowledge can then be used to try to improve the lives of people.

Social care is a profession where people work with those who experience marginalisation or disadvantage or who have special needs. Social care practitioners work in a wide variety of settings with a wide variety of people: children and adolescents in residential care, people with learning or physical disabilities, the homeless, people with alcohol/ drug dependency, families in the community, older people or recent immigrants to Ireland. Social care practitioners typically work in a direct person-to-person capacity with service users. This programme is delivered through a blend of lectures, workshops and two full semesters of off-site, supervised practice placement.

This is a one year full-time course leading to a QQI level 5 award. The aim of this programme is to enable the learner to develop the knowledge, skills and competence to work under supervision in a range of community health service settings or to progress to further and/or higher education and training.

This course is designed for people who want to attain the standards of proficiency for social care workers as defined by CORU. The learner will engage with 18 modules that explore social care practice and how it applies in various social care settings. Students will complete over 800 hours of supervised practice placement, in a social care setting.

A career in social care practice is challenging and uniquely rewarding, as graduates can make a real difference in people’s lives. Social Care Practice is a dynamic and continuously developing field that is now professionally regulated. Throughout this honours degree, students develop their critical thinking skills, have a greater understanding of human interaction and how to respond professionally and informally to the needs of people who use support services.

Professional practice placement is integral to this programme, where students complete two 13-week blocks in professional social care practice settings.

Social studies examines  the past and current behaviour of individuals and societies. The overall aim of the course is to develop critically reflective, skilled and ethically aware practitioners with the capacity to build professional relationships, in partnership with vulnerable individuals and groups who experience marginalisation, disadvantage or special needs.

Social care is a practice based profession and an academic discipline. This degree will give you a recognised professional qualification in social care and prepare for you for the challenging and rewarding role of being a social care worker. Our programme is a combination of academic study and assessed practice learning opportunities. We use a variety of innovative teaching methods to support students to acquire the knowledge, skills and values required to practice as a Social Care Worker.
