This course is designed to give participants the experience of a broad range of computing, information technology and business to prepare them for employment or further study in the field of Business and Computing. Learners will also complete Microsoft Specialist Exams to enhance employment opportunities.

As an advanced progression from Level 5 Office Administration, it provides a sophisticated blend of theoretical knowledge and advanced practical skills, mastering complex office processes and management practices essential for modern administrative leadership.

This course is designed to support students explore options for either work or for going on to further education whilst gaining their QQI Level 4 Major Award. Split over three phases, Kick Start offers optional training modules in areas such as hospitality/catering, retail skills, IT/office administration or they may opt for a general learning award whilst gaining practical work experience with an employer.

New skills are acquired through a combination of practical demonstration, instruction, supervised practice, e-learning and on-the-job training with an host-company

This course covers Office Skills at Level 4 with English and develops a solid foundation in IT skills. It will allow the learners to move on to do a variety of QQI Level 5 courses in Rathmines College including Business – Finance or IT, Office Administration, Marketing, Legal Studies and Computer Programming (if they demonstrate an aptitude for Maths).

Office Skills is a part-time Back to Education Initiative Programme (BTEI) which allows learners to get good Office Skills with English.

This course provides students with skills and knowledge specifically for the medical, dental, HSE and general health sector.

All of the required office specialisms coupled with medical terminology and use of the Socrates medical package & Practice Evolve meaning that students are well equipped for employment as administrators in the Legal & Medical sector.

The Bachelor of Education through the Medium of Irish is aimed at students who wish to teach through the medium of Irish in Gaeltacht schools or in All-Irish Schools.

Optometrists check vision and prescribe and fit spectacles and contact lenses as needed. For children or adults with problems coordinating their eyes, optometrists carry out patching and other forms of vision therapy to help people develop and maintain binocular vision.
