This course gives students a broad base in Science with a wide range of modules covered. It includes Animal Anatomy and Physiology for those students who may be interested in applying to Veterinary Nursing.

The Pre-University Science / Sports Science program is an academic foundation course designed to prepare students for the rigorous transition into third-level science and health degrees. This programme combines theoretical and practical training in the four broad areas of childhood, adolescence, disabilities, and older people enabling successful students to gain employment in the healthcare field or to progress to third level.

Speech and Language Therapists support and care for people of all ages with speech, language, communication and swallowing difficulties. Working with other professionals in multidisciplinary teams, the therapist works closely with patients and their families to establish a therapeutic programme to help each patient communicate as effectively as possible as part of their recovery journey.

The Speech and Language Therapy Assistant course will focus on developing the students understand­ing of a variety of communication and swallowing disorders and there impact on every aspect of a person’s life. Students can obtain work experience in a variety of areas, from schools to hospitals and other clinical settings for a two-week block. The practical aspects of the course will give students a good understanding of clinical­ life, and the qualities and characteristics required for a successful career as a Speech and Language Therapist.

This course gives learners the opportunity to explore the teaching profession and its core methodologies. It provides a broad understanding of educational systems and teaching practices in Ireland.

This course is designed to equip leaners with the specialist skills necessary for a career in the tourism industry. You will be introduced to various practical and theoretical skills, focusing on a broad scope of study. The range of transferrable skills and competencies taught will support your progression to a degree programme at University.

The aim of this programme is to provide the learner with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills and competence to progress to a University Programme in the area of Veterinary Nursing/ Animal Science/ Science/ Agricultural Science. Students can also progress to Advanced Animal Science & Care at O Fiaich Institute of Further Education.

This one-year course in Construction and Carpentry equips students with a blend of technical knowledge and hands-on skills essential for the modern built environment. Focusing on high-demand areas like furniture design, manufacturing, and renewable energy, the program prepares learners for rewarding careers in both trade and management roles. 

Precision engineering is involved with the design, manufacturing and measurement of highly specified parts for the medical, aerospace, automotive, oil and gas exploration and related industry.

Students learn how to work effectively with both manual and CNC machines to produce parts from an initial design to a final product. Parts are designed using CAD systems to develop solutions to engineering problems and when completed the accuracy will measure specialised measurement equipment such as co-ordinate measuring machines (CMM).

The Preliminary Engineering course has been designed to meet the needs of a variety of students wishing to study Engineering at third level, specifically those who did not satisfy the entry requirements for direct entry to a degree course, and adult returnees to education.

The Preparation for Leaving Certificate with ESOL Programme is a Transition Year course which will allow learners to come back to education and prepare for either the Leaving Certificate or a Further Education and Training Course. As such, it’s a starting point for all other courses in Pearse College and beyond.

This one-year QQI Level 4 foundation course is designed for adults returning to education who wish to enter or progress within the healthcare sector. The curriculum focuses on building fundamental health-related skills and language proficiency, specifically addressing the unique challenges faced by learners in this domain.

You will master the technical art of academic writing, learning how to construct well-argued assignments that adhere to professional formatting and referencing standards.
