This is a one year Course which aims to equip students with the skills necessary to work as an office administrator in a variety of organisations. Work experience in a relevant area will be undertaken one day a week.

The new BA (Honours) in Recruitment Practice is a three-year apprenticeship degree created in partnership with the Employment and Recruitment Federation (ERF). This recruitment apprenticeship programme is the first of its kind in Ireland and there are no other Level 8 degree programmes in recruitment or qualifications in recruitment that are on the National Framework of Qualifications.

This programme seeks to provide the appropriate education and training to allow successful graduates be registered with SOLAS as a Recruitment Executive apprentice. The programme will provide an alternative talent pipeline to the recruitment industry and offer a new career path for candidates. The course is open to mature students, school leavers, current recruiters and anyone looking for a career change.

A refrigeration and air conditioning craftsperson installs, maintains and repairs all types of refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment and systems. They can work in industries such as domestic, marine, commercial and industrial. They can install, maintain and repair items such as household, hospital, hotel and shop refrigerators, display cabinets, deep freezers, cooling plants, cold rooms and refrigerated transport.

If you are interested in working in the tourism activity sector providing a range of professional guiding services for visitors, the Local and Regional Guiding programme is designed for you. This programme will provide you with the professional, social, technical and administrative skills necessary to offer a quality service to domestic and overseas visitors.

Tourism is one of the fastest growing industries in Ireland. A recent report by the Irish Hotels Federation (IHF) forecasts an additional 40,000 jobs in the tourism sector by 2021. In 2018, Tourism Ireland aims to grow overseas tourism revenue to €6 billion for the island of Ireland; and to grow visitor numbers to 10.8 million.

The purpose of this award (which was developed in collaboration with Fáilte Ireland) is to enable learners to acquire the relevant knowledge, skills and competencies to work effectively as a Tourist Guide in the greater Dublin Region and surrounding area. It also provides learners with the necessary business skills needed to start their own tour guiding business.

Religious world-views, values and symbols play a critical role in shaping cultural norms, traditions and practices. History of Art and Architecture

History of Art and Architecture is about the study of images, objects and buildings. It is unique in developing high levels of visual literacy applicable to a range of career pathways. It explores why works of art look the way they do and seeks to discover what they say about the societies that created them. Energy and especially Electrical Energy is needed for everything we do in today’s world. Climate change is real and caused by burning fossil fuels. This programme covers all the technologies needed to produce energy and in particular electrical energy from renewable sources, to monitor and control energy systems and to connect them to the electricity grid. It is a mixture of theory and practical hands-on learning in all aspects of Renewable Energy Technology, electrical technology and automated monitoring and control systems.
