This course allows students to develop a broad range of specialised knowledge and skills in audio and music technology, sound engineering and production.

Students will gain hands-on experience in studio work, music and sound tracking, audio mixing and mastering, sound design, Foley, composition, song writing and post-production for TV and film in our high-spec studios and multimedia editing suites. A series of live events throughout the academic year will allow students to gain experience in live sound and lighting techniques whilst developing the necessary skills required in organising and staging events.

The BA (Hons) in Audio Computing is a response to the growing industry demand for graduates with music and audio programming skills and a solid understanding of sound synthesis and audio processing techniques.

The Audio Engineering programme is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in engineering within the audio and digital media industries. Students will gain technical skills and knowledge relevant to the broader field of electrical and electronic engineering including electronics, embedded systems, computer programming and mathematics.

Students will also gain practical experience of recording, editing, mixing and mastering music using professional studio facilities and designing new hardware/software musical instruments and interfaces.

Our Audio Production and Music Project Management course offers students the unique
opportunity to develop their skills in the field through industry-based, professional projects. While working on these real-world projects, students engage in both advanced audio production and music project management, greatly broadening employability.

This one-year, industry-led Level 8 Top-Up BA in Film & Television Production—accredited by the University of Wolverhampton—offers an intensive, hands-on bridge between academia and the professional screen industries. By collaborating with seasoned directors, producers, and crew, students produce both a live-action short and a documentary, replicating real-world production cycles from script to screen. Beyond technical mastery in areas like cinematography and sound design, the curriculum emphasizes leadership, digital literacy, and critical analysis. The B.A. in Applied Policing is the Foundation Programme for Garda Trainees. This Training Programme is delivered over 104 weeks leading to a B.A. in Applied Policing. The initial period of 34 weeks including two weeks annual leave takes place at The Garda College. Subsequent training takes place predominantly in selected Garda Divisions.
