The BA in Music Performance is a course that focuses on practice and is aimed primarily at students who wish to pursue a professional career in performance. Advanced Music Performance is a progressive course for performing musicians, building on the skills and knowledge previously achieved at Level 5. Focus is on the development of high-level performance technique and support you to engage with the fast-paced music industry and its wide variety of career opportunities for skilled creatives.

In addition to solo and group performance development, you will build on your skills and knowledge in many related areas including song writing, sound engineering, event management, promotion and music management.

You will gain experience on stage and in a working studio, learn how to set up equipment for live audio and recording and have access to one-to-one instrument tuition from highly-trained working musicians.

This one year Music Performance and Production course will provide students with knowledge of music theory and its practical application to musical styles and genres including writing their own songs. Students explore the structure of the music industry in addition to gaining practical skills in recording and producing music in a modern production environment. Students also learn how to plan and organise events as part of the course.
