As the first university in Ireland to currently offer Paramedic Studies at undergraduate degree level, our innovative campus with state-of-the-art high fidelity simulation, offers unequalled opportunities for the developing paramedic student. The curriculum has 4 main domains: Knowledge of Health and Illness, Clinical and Anatomical Skills, Professional Skills, and Pre-Hospital Research.

Our BSc Paramedicine degree, offered by the College of Medicine and Health, will prepare you for work as a Paramedic practitioner in the pre-hospital environment. The course will provide you with a variety of modules in numerous settings including modules in theory and clinical practice.

In addition, you will participate in ambulance-supervised placements and multiple clinical settings such as emergency departments, coronary care units etc. 

This is a level 7, introductory programme for someone preparing for ministry leadership in the Church. It forms part of a person’s initial formation, preparing him/her for exercising the responsibilities of ministry, especially leadership in public prayer, pastoral care and spiritual accompaniment, and building and strengthening community.

This includes acquiring specialised skills to teach in diverse settings, provide effective catechetical and faith formation, and exercise responsible stewardship of parish personnel and resources.

This special purpose single subject award ensures that all students are competent in the production of bread, gateaux, pastries and desserts. Particular emphasis is placed on the scientific principles and production processes underpinning this discipline.

This course covers the essential skills required to progress your career in pastry, baking and desserts. This special purpose award is also suitable for anyone who has an interest in pastry, baking and desserts and wishes to advance their knowledge and skillset in a professional training environment. It is open to people of all culinary abilities.

This one-year course is designed to prepare students for a career in the sports, coaching and fitness sectors, or provide a pathway to further study in Physical Educating teaching. Students will engage in a range of sports, both practically and academically.

Students will also gain the social, communications and leadership skills to work with students in the teaching area, along with athletes and groups in the growing sports, coaching and fitness areas.

This BFA degree offers a broad and holistic approach to the performing arts, one that not only concentrates on performance from a participatory perspective (that is to say, on being a performer), but also prepares the student for the wide and exciting range of careers available in the performing arts industry. While performance remains a central aspect of the programme, students are also prepared for the vast array of work that supports and produces performance, such as directing and staging, creating written material for performance, production, management, marketing and funding of the performing arts.

The programme is based around live theatrical performance (with elements of recording used for diagnostic and development purposes), but at the same time a graduate is prepared for further study in all cognate specialisms in the performing arts, as well as entry into a professional career.
