This one-year full time The Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Science course is aimed at students who want to develop their knowledge of Nutrition, Dietetics, Health & Food Science. Students are introduced to the areas of Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Processing and Biology. This course equips the learner with vocational skills and knowledge to acquire the theory, principles and techniques underpinning the science of dietetics, food and health. It also allows students to progress to a variety of third-level courses in the science and nutrition areas throughout Ireland. This is a full-time one-year course and runs from September to May.

The Bachelor of Science (BSc) programme is aimed at students with a strong interest in food, nutrition and food product development as well as students who are interested in developing a diverse range of entrepreneurial skills and business acumen. The BSc seeks to prepare students for the challenges of producing foods safe for human consumption, developing more nutritious, healthier food options for dynamic, ever-changing markets.

The BSc Nutritional Sciences course focuses on the role of diet in health promotion and disease prevention (including problems related to undernutrition and over-nutrition, and especially the major non communicable chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes and osteoporosis). This is done from an individual, national and international perspective, using insights gained from a wide range of scientific disciplines.

The BSc in Occupational Health and Safety Management is a multidisciplinary programme that examines the relationship between workplace factors and human health, safety and well-being. Students study subjects including the basic sciences, health sciences, engineering, law, management and regulatory affairs among others.

The programme is designed to meet the needs of industry and provides students with a high-quality qualification in the multidisciplinary area of Occupational Health and Safety Management.

This programme gives students the knowledge and skills to protect workers from injuries and fatalities, prevent illness caused by work, promote health and wellbeing, and advise employers on health and safety law. Students also learn how to prepare, implement and monitor safety management systems in the workplace. The degree provides students with the knowledge and skills to put in place environmental, health and safety in the workplace. This combined with the fact that our graduates will also be qualified to act as trainers.

The Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy is a four-year degree programme which includes a total of 1000 hours of practice education placement completed at various sites. In the first year of the program you will study anatomy and physiology related to human performance and human development across the lifespan. Later years include modules on occupational therapy services for children and young people, people living with mental health difficulties, musculoskeletal disorders, chronic and neurological conditions and older adults. Students will have opportunities at all stages of the program to develop professional skills including communication and advocacy skills, clinical reasoning skills and skills.

This course introduces the world of healthcare with a particular emphasis on occupational therapy. The programme will develop your understanding of how therapy is used to find practical solutions for people of all ages who have physical, sensory, or cognitive problems.

You will be introduced to supporting people regain independence in all areas of their lives, through the use of aids and equipment. You will acquire the skills and competencies necessary to assist the Occupational Therapist. Training in therapeutic splinting is provided.

Through a two-week placement in settings like rehab centers or elderly care, learners gain hands-on experience in the OT process—from assessment to treatment. The Occupational Therapy Assistant program provides the foundational clinical knowledge, technical competencies, and interpersonal skills necessary to work as a vital healthcare support professional alongside occupational therapists and physiotherapists. The curriculum focuses on preparing students to assist in the assessment and treatment of individuals whose functional movement, mobility, or independence has been restricted by physical injury, chronic illness, neurological disorders, or the natural aging process.

We focus on developing your understanding of the role of the Occupational Therapy Assistant. We aim to facilitate you acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to assist the Occupational Therapist in the implementation of therapeutic programmes with a variety of age groups.

This course may be of interest to students who are considering pursuing a degree in Construction Technology which emphasis placed specifically on Occupational Health & Safety. It is also of particular relevance to those who have an interest in the renewable energy industry or for those who wish to progress to further study.

This qualification designed for those who wish to work under the guidance of Occupational Therapists (OTs) to deliver holistic, client-centered care. The program focuses on supporting service users across various demographics—including mental health, pediatrics, and geriatrics—to overcome barriers caused by illness or disability. Students learn how to facilitate therapeutic interventions, assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), and manage essential administrative tasks within a healthcare environment. and enhance their quality of life. Important administrative duties of the OTA include contributing to team meetings, documenting a patients treatment progress as well as maintaining office treatment areas, equipment, and supplies.
