The course offers a diverse range of modules to enhance your understanding of the Irish Education system. It also focuses on building the key skills: communication, critical reflection, and research skills necessary for educational settings.

This course has been developed to meet the training requirements of graduates from other non-agricultural award programme who are interested in farming.

The course comprises two awards, the Level 5 Certificate in Agriculture (120 credits) and the Level 6 Specific Purpose Certificate in Farming (50 credits), and consists of a combination of formal course work and a period of practical learning. The formal course work is split between practical/ skills training and classroom (theoretical) sessions.

The course consists of a range of mandatory and elective modules such as: farm business and IT; principles of agriculture; farm safety; farm assurance; farm enterprise production modules; safe use of pesticides; farm performance and management modules; grass production modules, and environmental modules. Students choose a cluster of elective modules in one of the following specialisms: dairy production, drystock production, machinery and crop production.

The BA (Hons) in Textile & Fashion Design is a 3-year course following the first-year common entry course. Topics on the programme include Photography, Digital Media, Design History & Theory, Creative Problem Solving, Business & Entrepreneurial skills and an Ethical and Sustainable Design ethos. Textile & Fashion Design students will learn about fashion concepts, textile and surface design, woven textile design and practice, accessory design, fashion textile research and development, 3D construction, textile fabrication, and fashion directions.

Design outcomes are realised through the production of design samples, fabric collections, visualisations and/or products and prototypes. Theatre and Drama Studies is a practice-based course for those intending to pursue a career in theatre or dramatic arts. Individual acting skills, voice production, ensemble performance and related theatre design and technical audio visual studies equip the student to work in live theatre, broadcast media or community-based arts facilitation.

This honours degree course centres on theatre performance training, with supporting modules to facilitate wider career options. The course aims to produce artists that are physically and vocally flexible and intellectually alive and curious. 

Our BA (Hons) Theatre & Performative Practices degree at University College Cork (UCC) is a window to the exciting world of theatre and performance. Students will be involved in all aspects of theatre, from acting, to performance, to make- up, to planning and staging an event.

Students will deep- dive into the history of theatrical tradition and use this learning to create productions of their own. They will also learn about the main acting schools and disciplines and explore their own unique performance ‘voice’. The course is designed to explore and experiment with performance art genres, so that participants can progress confidently towards their goals and gain immense knowledge about their own creative identity, skills, and talents.

The BTh is an immersion into the Christian intellectual tradition. Academically rigorous and intellectually engaging, this three-year full time degree provides students with a holistic formation in theology, especially within the Catholic theological tradition.

Learners delve into all major theological subdisciplines, including but not limited to the study of Scripture, moral theology or ethics, and systematic theology. Students receive a grounding in philosophy, languages, and the history of Christian thought and culture.
