Fundamentals of coaching science, pedagogy and professional practices in sports coaching are delivered through evidence-based and evidence-informed theory to the learning while also providing the opportunity to learn and apply the practical skills required to create a positive learning environment for individual athletes and/or teams.

he BSc (Hons) in Sports Coaching provides students (aspiring coaches) with advanced coaching techniques, styles, and education through a variety of sports (e.g. team, individual, outdoor pursuit), including inclusivity and disabilities. This is a broad Sports and Leisure course that will enable students to demonstrate and apply a range of skills and knowledge in a variety of Sports and Recreation contexts. Students will acquire the knowledge and practical skills required to assist in the running of a Sports and Leisure Facility. 

Students will be provided with a basic understanding of Recreation theory and health concepts in a variety of subject areas.
