The aim of this one year full time course is to provide the learner with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to work under supervision in a variety of healthcare settings and / or to progress to further or higher education and training.

This course is also suitable for adults seeking qualifications to return to the workforce. The course design is vocational in nature.

The curriculum is led by clinical nurse practitioners, ensuring that nursing theory and practice are grounded in real-world expertise. Students train in a specialized nursing suite—modeled after a hospital room in St. James’s Hospital—using industry-standard equipment such as manual and ceiling hoists, hospital beds, and wheelchairs.
