A 2 year course in classical hand-drawn and computer animation, including character animation, 3d modelling, animating for Feature, TV or Games. This course gives budding artists the chance to express themselves artistically through the medium of animation, both classical (hand-drawn) and computer generated. This dynamic course provides the skills to take individual and group projects from conception to completion. The course aims to enable the student to develop a comprehensive understanding of the principles and techniques employed by the professional animator and to acquire the requisite skills for entry into feature, TV or computer game animation.

History of Art and Architecture is about the study of images, objects and buildings. It is unique in developing high levels of visual literacy applicable to a range of career pathways. It explores why works of art look the way they do and seeks to discover what they say about the societies that created them. Speech and Language Therapists work with people of all ages and assess, diagnose and treat individuals with a variety of communication and swallowing disorders. 

The aim of this minor Award is to provide participants with a basis on which to develop their therapeutic understanding of the theoretical and clinical considerations of substance use. The objectives of the module include increasing knowledge of Substance Use issues to include pharmacology, aetiology, and interventions appropriate to this clinical cohort.

This Cloud Computing course is designed to introduce students to the Cloud Computing discipline. Students become familiar with the fundamentals of software programming in languages which are Cloud standards. Networking, computer hardware and operating systems are also presented with an emphasis on how they relate to the cloud. Key modules in Virtualisation Support and Distributed Systems are also studied.

On completion successful students may progress to Cloud Computing Level 6, other education opportunities or to the labour market.

The Coaching and Sports Performance programme aims to develop, from evidence- based theory and practice, the students’ ability to lead physical activity, to coach athletes (individually and in teams), and manage sports teams and individual athletes.

Graduates will also have the knowledge, skills, competence and first-hand experience to design and lead strength and conditioning programmes and to design and lead performance training programmes.
