Together, we will learn about developing sustainable tourism and event experiences, minimise environmental impact, and create events that leave a positive impact.

This programme considers the development of ESG reporting standards within the EU, which significantly influence both public and private sectors. As we collectively strive for greater sustainability, this programme integrates these critical areas into its curriculum and engages in many collaborations with tourism service providers.

This program explores specialised knowledge and practical techniques for sustainable tourism management, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030 (SDGs). The tourism and hospitality industry is adapting to meet increasing consumer demand for ethical and sustainable practices.

This programme has been designed to afford students the opportunity to develop their creativity, artistic identity, and introductory to tattoo artistry skills and knowledge. Students may further their experience in the Tattoo Industry through a work experience placement. This course is a stepping stone to employment in a Tattoo Parlour. An apprenticeship as a Tattoo Artist or setting up a business. Progression to third level is an option, such as Art, Craft & Design colleges and various media courses around the country.

This course has been developed to meet the training requirements of graduates from other non-agricultural award programme who are interested in farming.

The course comprises two awards, the Level 5 Certificate in Agriculture (120 credits) and the Level 6 Specific Purpose Certificate in Farming (50 credits), and consists of a combination of formal course work and a period of practical learning. The formal course work is split between practical/ skills training and classroom (theoretical) sessions.

The course consists of a range of mandatory and elective modules such as: farm business and IT; principles of agriculture; farm safety; farm assurance; farm enterprise production modules; safe use of pesticides; farm performance and management modules; grass production modules, and environmental modules. Students choose a cluster of elective modules in one of the following specialisms: dairy production, drystock production, machinery and crop production.

You will experience a broad range of subjects that will give you a good insight into the workings of modern industry.

The programme has been accredited by Engineers Ireland at Associate Engineer Level. Due to the mix of business & engineering subjects, graduates have a strong track record of securing employment. The BA (Hons) in Textile & Fashion Design is a 3-year course following the first-year common entry course. Topics on the programme include Photography, Digital Media, Design History & Theory, Creative Problem Solving, Business & Entrepreneurial skills and an Ethical and Sustainable Design ethos. Textile & Fashion Design students will learn about fashion concepts, textile and surface design, woven textile design and practice, accessory design, fashion textile research and development, 3D construction, textile fabrication, and fashion directions.

Design outcomes are realised through the production of design samples, fabric collections, visualisations and/or products and prototypes. The college offers an excellent range of facilities for realising design work including digital print, screen print, transfer print and weaving while external manufacturing services such as laser-cutting, computer-aided weaving, multi-head embroidery, and finishing are also utilised.

Theatre and Drama Studies is a practice-based course for those intending to pursue a career in theatre or dramatic arts. Individual acting skills, voice production, ensemble performance and related theatre design and technical audio visual studies equip the student to work in live theatre, broadcast media or community-based arts facilitation.

This honours degree course centres on theatre performance training, with supporting modules to facilitate wider career options. The course aims to produce artists that are physically and vocally flexible and intellectually alive and curious. 

Our BA (Hons) Theatre & Performative Practices degree at University College Cork (UCC) is a window to the exciting world of theatre and performance. Our programme explores the world of theatre and the wide spectrum of performance: such as dance, outdoor performance, and music theatre. The course is designed to explore and experiment with performance art genres, so that participants can progress confidently towards their goals and gain immense knowledge about their own creative identity, skills, and talents.
