Holistic Wellbeing and Skincare course offers students a comprehensive introduction to the principles of skincare, beauty therapy, and holistic health. This program is designed for individuals passionate about promoting self-care and wellness, combining practical beauty techniques with an understanding of overall physical and mental wellbeing.

The degree combines scientific, social, and applied learning to prepare graduates for life and work in families, communities and broader society. You’ll explore the interconnections between nutrition, health, wellbeing, consumer behaviour, and sustainable living. St. Angela’s College has an international reputation and an established record of excellence in Home Economics education. The role of a Home Economist in communities is very much established in other European and International countries. This level 8, four year degree (which is not an initial teacher education qualification) fulfils the gap that is currently demanded and required within Irish society. It is designed to attract applicants who are passionate about Home Economics and aspire to be Home Economists advocating for sustainable health and wellbeing of individuals, families and communities.

This programme allows students to study a wide array of Home Economics and Business related modules.  This programme is the first in its kind as it is the only programme that offers a BA (Hons) in Home Economics and Business nationally.  Furthermore, the opportunities upon successful completion are vast.

Graduates may decide to pursue a Professional Master of Education (PME) in Home Economics and Business or decide to work as a Home Economist with families in a community setting. Graduates also have the knowledge, skills and competencies to work in area’s of food, nutrition, textiles, household technology (to name but a few).

Sport horse career opportunities include yard manager, competition rider, groom, breaking and training, coach, sales prep, and self – employed ventures such as equine tourism. In addition there are a number of career opportunities in supporting or service provider roles.

The course aims to provide students with knowledge and skills to work in a supervisory or managerial role in a range of sectors in the Equine Industry or the opportunity to progress to higher education. Students that successfully complete this course have fulfilled the requirements for the purpose of meeting the educational criteria for Young Trained Farmer scheme, i.e. Green Cert Status.

These full-time PLC programs, provide a comprehensive foundation in both basic and advanced Equine Studies. Developed in collaboration with industry experts, the curriculum offers a holistic approach to horse welfare, safety, and current market trends. Graduates emerge with a versatile skill set and a deep understanding of equine legislation, perfectly positioning them for diverse career paths or further specialized progression within the horse industry.

This module will equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to operate and maintain a range of hand tools, powered horticultural machinery and implements.

This module will equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to understand the working mechanisms and use of a range of machinery in horticultural field crop production.

This programme has been designed to help enable participants to develop the knowledge and skills necessary use and maintenance a range of horticulture tools and equipment correctly and safely. During the programme learners will be required to perform a range of tasked on Hand/ Power Tools, pedestrian and horticultural machinery

This degree is delivered in partnership with Teagasc and South East Technological University. It blends science, practical skills, and business, covering plant production, landscape design, food crops, and sustainability. With a 15 week industry placement, graduates earn Green Cert status. This course suits those passionate about plants, the environment, sustainable food production, or pursuing a dynamic career in horticulture, landscaping, or agribusiness.

This course is suitable for you if you wish to make a sustainable, positive impact on the environment, while being active and outdoors in nature, caring for landscapes, parks, open spaces and the urban public realm. It examines and responds to growing concerns about the quality of our food and the environmental cost of its production. If you’re artistic and creative there is culinary and medicinal plants, and food product development, while in social and therapeutic horticulture you develop the skills to guide clients in the therapeutic potential of horticulture and the natural environment. If you’re entrepreneurial in your approach to horticulture, entrepreneurship and enterprise development gives you the platform and skills to bring your unique ideas to life.
