On completion of this two-year apprenticeship, you will become a qualified retail supervisor, with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Retail Supervision.

You may then choose to work as a retail supervisor in the retail sector in department stores, grocery stores, pharmacy, booksellers, fashion and more.

We are now recruiting for the 2020 Programme which will be delivered over five day’s and consist of five modules as follows:

1. Policy Overview (Structure and role of local authorities, the configuration of the road network in Ireland, the roads governance system within which local government works, the role of the department of transport and other relevant organisations in the administration of the road network in Ireland, the relevant policy documents and guidance documents governing the administration of roads projects).
2. Legislation (the legislative framework governing roads in Ireland and the procedures for completion of the statutory notices required under each piece of legislation. To include The Roads Act 1993, the Road Traffic Act 1995, the Planning and Development Act, Housing Act 1966, Waste Management Act 1996, Environmental Legislation).
3. Finance (Funding, Grants, Department Returns, Audit Compliance, Budgets, Agresso).
4. Project Management and Delivery (Project Appraisal, Project Management, Planning, Environmental Impact Assessment, Procurement and Tender Management).
5. Administrative Functions (Insurance including Public Liability Claim Management, Road Safety, Health and Safety, Human Resources).

The Bachelor of Engineering in Robotics and Automation Engineering is a multidisciplinary three-year engineering programme. The main areas of engineering covered on the programme include: Electrical, Electronics, Advanced PLCs and SCADA, Programming, Process Control and Instrumentation, CAD, Industrial Networks, Motion Control and Robotics Systems and Work Placement.

This is a multidisciplinary four-year engineering programme. It has an excellent graduate employment rate and provides graduates with a range of practical skills and competences in areas such as: Electro-Mechanical, Electronics, PLCs, SCADA, Control and Instrumentation, Industrial Networks, Data Modelling, Motion Control, Robotics and Software Engineering.

In this robotics and Intelligent Devices programme we focuses on the design, implementation, and use of intelligent physical things in the environment. These include robots, autonomous vehicles, smart sensors, and internet-of-things devices. In the modern world, many of these things are the basis for brand new services or service improvements in areas such as health and wellbeing, assistive living, safety, smart manufacturing, retail, and hospitality, among others.

Within the Modern Languages programme you study two modern European languages to degree level. It is the most intensive exposure to languages and cultures that Trinity College has to offer. You can choose between French, German, Irish, Italian, Russian and Spanish. Apart from French and Irish all languages can be studied from both advanced and beginners level. 

Russian writers, musicians and artists have made a considerable contribution to European culture; Russian history has helped shape Europe as we know it today: exploring Russia’s past and present helps understand the interaction between Europe’s eastern and western traditions.

This course is designed to build strong management skills including managing clients, scheduling and managing staff and salon marketing which are critical in either starting or running a business. You will learn through engagement with real scenarios in live ‘pop-up’ salons which simulate the day to day work of a salon manager.

As part of this programme, Apprentices will engage in on-the-job training with a SOLAS approved employer. Off-the-job training will take place in the classroom.

In the BSc degree students study a broad range of subjects inlcuding Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering Science, Mathematics – and newer disciplines such as Biotechnology, Genetics, Bioinformatics and Multimedia.

The programme provides a solid foundation in Science subjects in the first year, with module offerings in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Mathematical Studies, Computing and Applied Mathematics.

The Pre-University Science course has been developed to enable students to obtain the entry requirements for accessing Science-based programmes at Higher Education institutes. Additionally, learners acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for employment in the science and pharmaceutical industries.
