This programme aims to produce graduates with a strong academic base in health science disciplines related to physical activity and exercise. The BSc (Hons) Health Science is a three-year honours degree that provides a direct pathway into MSc programmes in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Dietetics.

This course provides learners with the knowledge and skills to work in the nutrition or general healthcare area, where nutritional, general health or mental health support, is required.

Students will learn the importance of developing a holistic and client focused approach to work. They will also, develop the knowledge and skillset, to meet the emotional, psychological and social needs of clients in the healthcare sector. The role exercise, diet and nutrition plays in maintaining and enhancing both physical and mental health will be a focus of the course.
