This one-year full time course has been developed to equip the learner with the vocational skills and knowledge to work independently or in a supervisory capacity in an administrative role in the private, public or voluntary sector and or to progress to higher education or training.

The course in Administration and IT for Business is designed for those who wish to gain advanced skills in office administration, IT skills, payroll and book-keeping techniques. A wide range of computer packages are taught in line with the requirements of the modern office.

The MAcc Advanced Accounting with Placement is an integrated undergraduate programme that combines undergraduate and Masters-level study in one four-year course.

The MAcc programme prepares students for a career in the accountancy profession. It contains lots of practical content, engagement with local employers and a work-based placement.

This course will enable students to work with world-renowned professional skincare and body products, such as Yonka, to develop practical expertise in a range of treatments. Students will complete case studies on guest clients for each module, performing treatments such as body massage and figure analysis, microdermabrasion, IPL, radiofrequency, microneedling and learning correct use of body electrical machines. 

As part of this Beauty Aesthetics and Body Treatments course, students actively design, set up and participate in the Institute’s commercial salon, which runs on a weekly basis. This Advanced Certificate in Business Management and Accounting course is designed to equip learners with a portfolio of skills required in the financing, planning, marketing & management of a small business whilst also providing the necessary entry requirements for entry to Third level. Business Management students may have the opportunity to apply for a three-week Erasmus+ Placement during the academic year where they may work in a European business organisation. This is a full-time one-year course and runs from September to May.

This course will equip learners (who already hold a QQI Level 5 related award or equivalent) with a range of skills and knowledge to implement and deliver community development programmes in a structured and co-ordinated way. It also provides a gateway to further study at Level 7 or Level 8.

Many childcare settings are now seeking level 6 qualifications for their employees in line with the requirements of the ECCE scheme and new legislative requirements for the sector.

This is year 2 of the Advanced Certificate in Early Learning and Care (Level 6). Learners will be provided with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to supervise in a range of Early Years services for children aged 0-6 years. The learners will have acquired the knowledge, skills and competence to work as autonomous practitioners and to take responsibility for a room or area in an ELC setting.
