The course provides in-depth knowledge of dairying and the dairy industry. It is designed to ensure that participants acquire the high level of technical and managerial skills required:

• To run a modern commercial dairy farm enterprise.
• To gain employment in the agri-business sector.

Students spend 20 weeks on course work in the college.

In addition students complete a 16 week practical learning period on an approved training host farm. While most complete this in Ireland, there are opportunities for completing the practical learning period in the USA, New Zealand, Australia and Europe.

On successful completion of the course students are awarded a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Agriculture. Students who successfully complete this course meet the training requirements for Stamp Duty Exemption and DAFM Schemes.

The Level 6 Advanced Certificate is the Teagasc recommended education pathway for a technician. The two-year pathway incorporates the Level 5 Certificate and the Level 6 Advanced Certificate. The initial application should be made to the Teagasc Level 5 Certificate in Agriculture course.

This course offers you the chance to achieve a higher standard of dance technique and performance ability. The course also offers the opportunity to obtain international dance certifications.

During the year, you will be expected to complete work experience in a dance school or dance company.

This dance course provides a comprehensive foundation for professional progression, combining high-quality technical training with ISTD and HNC qualifications. Led by industry experts from the ISTD and RAD, students develop essential musicality, strength, and performance skills tailored to meet professional standards. The program is specifically designed to prepare dancers for further vocational training, higher education, and successful careers in the performing arts.

This Course is designed for the learner to explore software development concepts and subject areas that may interest them in future programmes or employment. This course is oftern used by students as a preparatory course for progression to third level.

The Centre for Deaf Studies in Trinity affords students the opportunity to develop insights into, and genuine appreciation for the culture, contributions, and contemporary issues related to Deaf people in Ireland and worldwide. 

This two-year course is based in the Dublin Dental University Hospital at Trinity. It has academic, project-based and clinical components which are carried out in the Dublin Dental University Hospital, Health Services Executive and general hospital settings. Emphasis is on health promotion projects, evidence-based learning, and clinical practice. You will be integrated with undergraduate dental science students and dental nursing students for some elements of the programme.

Dental hygienists form an important complementary branch of the dental profession. Working under the supervision of a dentist, the dental hygienist carries out procedures such as:

• scaling teeth
• taking and recording radiographs
• local infiltration and inferior block anaesthesia
• application of fissure sealants
• application of desensitising agents
• dietary advice.

This course gives you the skills and practical competence needed to work in a dental surgery. You will learn about the day-to-day running of a dental practice and acquire the qualifications for entry to the Dental Council Voluntary Register of Dental Nurses.

In the second year of the programme, the students will have the opportunity to work with various dental clinicians in a wide variety of disciplines. Clinical experiences will be gained within the DDUH environment, external institutions and private practices.
