This one year course is designed to introduce students to the dynamic, creative field of Multimedia. The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to work in a creative media setting, using some initiative and independence while under general direction and or to progress to further or higher education and training.

On this course, you will learn the fundamentals of marketing and media analysis, while also developing your creative ability using computers.

The BFA program examines all of the main areas of creative writing, with introductory courses on the discipline as a whole, courses on the technical requirements and the analysis of creative writing, and specific courses exploring the practical aspects of composing novels, short stories, poems, scripts and screenplays. As the student progresses, the program makes increasing use of the workshop method of teaching, and in the final stages there are opportunities for approved students to undertake extended independent writing projects. The student may combine the major in creative writing with other majors offered by the institution, depending on his or her interests; these include performing arts, liberal arts and international business, either as a double major or as minors.

This one year course provides an extensive introduction to a wide range creative writing, media, literature, and culture.

Participants will produce writing for fiction, scripts for theatre, television, radio, and film, as well as for journalism. Students will be introduced to a wide range of literature appropriate to all modules on offer, and there are numerous opportunities to attend theatre productions, films, media events, and other cultural events throughout the year.

On completion, each student will have an exciting portfolio, a selection of which will be professionally published in the end of year publication.

he BA (Criminal Justice) is a four-year, inter-disciplinary degree programme. In each semester, you will study a combination of modules from Law, Sociology, Politics and Public Administration. An exposure to each of these disciplines ensures that you will develop a comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice system and how it reacts to and regulates the society within which it operates. To further enhance your learning during the programme, you will study some Psychology modules which will aid in understanding human behaviour and the motivations of those who commit crime along with the behaviors of other actors in the criminal justice system such as police, judges and juries. Modules in Management will also give you core skills which are essential for future administrative roles within the criminal justice sector.

The BA (Hons) in Criminal Justice Studies is a three year degree course designed to equip the student with general knowledge and transferable skills while focusing on the broad theme of criminal justice. It is a multidisciplinary course.

The course also examines the core aspects of Irish law and the workings of the legal system including legal procedures and practice.
