This one-year course introduces students to the broad and expanding sector of Sport Science. An interesting course that will provide students with the skills, knowledge and qualifications necessary to gain employment in the sports sector. With the combination of modules, students can avail of the science award with some coaching modules and sports anatomy and then continue to higher education to study health or sports science.

The course also incorporates research into suitable paths of progression for those wishing to continue their studies. Pre-University Sports Studies combines skills and knowledge from several National Governing Bodies – it provides a broad scope of study rather than a narrow focus and this allows students to gain learning experience in a wide range of subject matter. Pre-University Sports Studies is about giving students choice and flexibility while providing a variety of essential skills that will benefit their progression.

This course has been designed to meet the needs of a variety of students wishing to study Engineering, specifically those who did not satisfy the entry requirements for direct entry to a degree course, and adult returnees to education.

This ten-week intermediate course advances the skills established in Screen Acting - Level 1, focusing on refined performance techniques for film and television. Students will deepen their technical proficiency by working closely with camera equipment and gaining a professional understanding of various crew roles and set dynamics.

This TV Presenting & Film Production PLC course provides students with the advanced knowledge and skills to pursue careers in various areas of TV and Film production and presenting. Students will explore all aspects of Film and Television giving them a knowledge of both behind and in front of the camera. Students will have the opportunity to explore and develop the art of TV Presenting, Interviewing, Autocue and Links to camera as well as Producing, Directing and Editing. Students will have access to professional camera and editing equipment and to assist them in producing a showreel.

The course will develop the artistic and technical skills that are involved in creating characters, stories and worlds using advanced digital technologies. Students will learn the fundamentals of digital design, storytelling, animation principles as well as how to build, light and compose animation sequences and stories.

This course is suitable for those who wish to pursue a career in the Animation industry, but who may not have the drawing skills required to pursue a more-traditional Animation course.

This course is an introduction to 2D and 3D computer game design and development. This course will examine all aspects of computer game production and development from concept to digital art, 3D Modelling and Sound Design. Successful learners will acquire a comprehensive knowledge of game design and development techniques and theory as well as an extensive portfolio of work including a number of individually crafted games.

This unique course is the first 3D animation undergraduate degree in Ireland. It will allow you to understand the highly artistic and technical practices that are involved in creating characters, stories and worlds using advanced digital technologies.

Learn both advanced technical and creative skills to understand 3D animation pipelines, including character, design, world building, animation principles, lighting, rendering along with other specialised areas.
