Pre-University law enables students to study Business and Criminal Law which cover some of the fundamental legal concepts in the core modules of all undergraduate law degrees. Students are provided with the skills and knowledge to advance to higher education to study for an undergraduate degree in Law, Business and Law, Commerce or Law and Criminology.

Students of the Pre-University Law course also gain an understanding of civil and criminal procedure.

Pre-university Law will equip you with a basic understanding of a wide range of legal concepts along with the administrative skills required in any legal secretarial role. This full-time one -year programme is for those interested in working in law. It is an excellent taster programme, with emphasis on a basic introduction to the primary areas of Irish law and the Irish Legal System.
