Over the duration of the course, students will develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to meet the specific needs of people with an intellectual disability in a safe, competent, and compassionate manner. Student’s academic and clinical knowledge will be developed throughout this rewarding course using simulated learning environments and modern learning spaces.

The intellectual disability nurse is a professional, who works autonomously and collaboratively to provide person-centred care and support to persons of all ages, with a variety of abilities and capabilities.

This course will provide you with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and, professional values necessary to provide high-quality, competent and caring practice in your chosen discipline of nursing. There are two components to the nursing degree course; a theoretical component and a practice (clinical/community) component.

The BSc. Nursing (Intellectual Disability) is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to become an analytical and reflective practitioner, capable of providing compassionate, caring and committed approaches to supporting people with intellectual disabilities and their families. The programme based on a philosophy of inclusion, empowerment and valuing people, enables the integration of humanistic, scientific and research based principles to enhance your knowledge and understanding of physical, emotional, cognitive, social and spiritual needs of persons with intellectual disabilities.

Intellectual Disability nursing is seen as a speciality field of nursing that provides holistic care to persons with an intellectual disability.  Intellectual disability nurses work as part of a trandisciplinary team in order to enable and empower people with intellectual disabilities to achieve their full potential.

The overall aim of the programme is to provide the learner with the opportunity to develop the required knowledge, skills and competence in Intellectual Disability Nursing in order to meet the standards set by the awarding body in the award specification for BSc (Hons) in Intellectual Disability Nursing.

The Bachelor of Science (Hons) Intellectual Disability Nursing, is a four year degree pre-registration programme focusing on the theory and practice of Intellectual Disability Nursing to support people throughout the life span. The aim of the programme is to prepare practitioners as analytical, reflective and independent thinkers who will practice as competent, accountable, registered nurses who support inclusive and fulfilling lives for people with an intellectual disability. 

This programme is designed to address the needs of front-line staff (Care Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Family Support Worker, Home Support Worker, Personal Assistant and Community Care Worker) working in services for people with Intellectual Disability in Ireland.

This course is aimed at people working in disability services. It was created by people with extensive first-line experience who fully understand the area and the problems that come with attempting to balance work, life and learning when you work in the sector.

This course helps you to develop knowledge and essential skills in Intellectual Disability Practice, including Special Needs Assisting and First Aid. It also prepares you for the workplace.

This Traineeship includes 10 weeks of work-placement.

The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence in the causes, range and effects of intellectual disabilities to develop an awareness of the importance of a social model of support and the role of various professionals in responding to the needs of persons with an intellectual disability.

Interior architecture involves the design of interiors of buildings, their layout and space planning, fitting, technical and structural resolution, furnishing and decoration, and the preparation of all technical drawings and written documentation necessary for the carrying out of the work.

The design work of interior architecture includes domestic, commercial, leisure, retail, educational, healthcare and cultural interior projects. Interior architectural design encompasses many types of interiors and utilises accompanying skills. 

This course examines contemporary practice in interior architecture and teaches you about our architectural heritage, how buildings work, and how to create high quality spatial experiences. It involves the design of interiors of buildings, their layout, fitting, furnishing and decoration, and the preparation of all technical drawings and written documentation necessary for the carrying out of the work.

This full-time, industry-focused degree blends interior design with architectural principles, equipping you with in-demand skills in spatial planning, adaptive reuse, sustainability, architectural technologies, practice & project management, BIM, advanced rendering, and creative problem-solving, all within three years.

The Interior Design Higher National Certificate Level 6 provides an opportunity for students to create exciting, dynamic and innovative commercial interior environments. Learners will be introduced to contemporary design concepts as well as the necessary technological and organisational skills.

The HNC is a specialist vocational programme with a strong work-related emphasis.The course provides learners with all the practical skills to allow progression directly into employment or to access the HND Level 6 Programme.

The BA in Interior Architecture & Design is a three-year level 7 degree course that can be taken as either a full-time or an evening access programme. This course guides students from initiation through to successful completion, producing an Interior Design graduate who can create, design, problem-solve, and act professionally in all related working environments.

Successful Interior Design graduates are industry-ready and creatively and technically proficient to propose innovative solutions and problem-solving expertise within the built environment.
