This one year business course is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in Administration and Reception. Modules such as Text Production, Bookkeeping, Payroll and Office Administration provide graduates with essential skills required in a busy office environment.

This course is designed to give participants the experience of a broad range of computing, information technology and business to prepare them for employment or further study in the field of Business and Computing. Learners will also complete Microsoft Specialist Exams to enhance employment opportunities.

You will learn about the administration and front-line reception duties for a medical receptionist or secretarial role in a medical practice, clinic and/or hospital setting.

Our Medical Administrator course will lead you to possible careers in many contexts, including public and private medical practice.

This course is designed to support students explore options for either work or for going on to further education whilst gaining their QQI Level 4 Major Award. Split over three phases, Kick Start offers optional training modules in areas such as hospitality/catering, retail skills, IT/office administration or they may opt for a general learning award whilst gaining practical work experience with an employer.

This course covers Office Skills at Level 4 with English and develops a solid foundation in IT skills. It will allow the learners to move on to do a variety of QQI Level 5 courses in Rathmines College including Business – Finance or IT, Office Administration, Marketing, Legal Studies and Computer Programming (if they demonstrate an aptitude for Maths).

Office Skills is a part-time Back to Education Initiative Programme (BTEI) which allows learners to get good Office Skills with English.
