The aim of this programme is to enable the learner to design, develop produce, integrate and maintain creative and dynamic digital media content suited to a broad range of platforms.

The Creative Digital Media (Year 2) course is geared towards digital video/sound, animation, web technologies, responsive web design and multimedia content generation and transmission. Students gain experience in software programs such as InDesign, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Audition, Animate, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and After Effects.

The Creative Digital Media (Year 2) course, although theoretical, is also very practical and provides participants with a thorough understanding of creative digital media development. Students design, plan, create and report on projects undertaken during the year.

Formally known as Multimedia, this is a one year advanced course where students further enhance the knowledge developed at Level 5 and acquire new skills.

Students develop interactive web sites that integrate sound, video, animation, graphics, 3D and scripting. Students write, shoot and produce a short film. Students create a soundscape and podcast. Students are also given the opportunity to collaborate on a group project that involves liaising with industry.

Students are introduced to Adobe After Effects , Audacity, Apple Soundtrack Pro and Celtx and advanced skills in first year software.

Digital sculpting is the process of using computers to produce digital art. Using leading Industry software, students will explore the basics of the sculpting process for both character and creature sculpting.

You will learn how to generate sketch ideas and to progress a character design from initial concept to completed digital mesh. Utilising a subdivision digital sculpting workflow, you will create your digital character/creature as a digital sculpt in a final pose.

The Digital Web Design course is a fun and practical programme that helps you build real skills in computers, design, and technology. You’ll learn how to create websites, work with digital graphics, and use popular software tools to bring your ideas to life.

This course is perfect for students who enjoy working on computers and want to explore careers in web design, digital media, or IT. It’s a great way to build confidence in technology, communication, and teamwork while learning in a supportive and structured environment.

This is a course for people with intellectual disabilities.

The Certificate in Disability-Inclusive Practice is for students who have already completed the Certificate in Contemporary Living, or the Certificate in Social Citizenship, or another equivalent programme.

The course aims to develop students’ presentation, communication and self-advocacy skills. Students will learn to:

• Deliver training on disability-inclusive practices in education and professional settings
• Review and respond to policies for disability inclusion
• Audit spaces for the physical, social and cultural inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities.

A work placement is an important part of the course.
