It involves treating patients of all ages with a range of illnesses and conditions, including those with back and neck problems, sports injuries, arthritis, or those recovering from strokes and operations. The focus of our treatment is exercise prescription. 

Physiotherapists are healthcare professionals responsible for developing, maintaining and restoring movement and functional ability in adults and children using evidence-based practice. The Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy is a four-year degree programme which includes a total of 31 weeks of clinical practice in the last two years of the programme. The first year provides a foundation in Anatomy and Physiology, communication and behaviour, and an Introduction to Physiotherapy Practice. Over the remaining three years you will undertake studies in the various disciplines of physiotherapy including cardiorespiratory care, clinical neurology and musculoskeletal disorders for people across the lifespan. Research and evidence-based practice are core elements underpinning the programme.

The one-year Physiotherapy Assistant (Health Service Skills) course is designed to equip the learner with the opportunity of obtaining a Major QQI Level 5 Award in Health Service Skills 5M3782. This course aims to equip the learner with the necessary skill required to progress on to potential employment as a Physiotherapy Assistant or a Health Care Assistant. This is a full-time one-year course and runs from September to May.

This one-year Physiotherapy Studies course introduces the core principles of rehabilitation, focusing on the assessment and treatment of mobility issues resulting from injury, illness, or aging. Students develop the practical skills necessary to support HSE healthcare teams in delivering effective therapy programs and restoring client movement. Highlighting the program's hands-on approach, practical sessions are held at premier facilities, including the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena and the National Gymnastics Training Centre.

On this course, you will develop foundational skills and knowledge in subjects related to physiotherapy, both theoretical and practical. This will prepare you for progression to Higher Level study.

Successful completion of this course will result in a QQI Level 5 Certificate in Physiotherapy Assistant 5M3782.

A construction plant fitter services, diagnoses and resolve technical issues in mobile equipment used in materials handling for the off-road and on-road construction, excavation, mining, forestry and waste management industries. They carry out routine service procedures as recommended by the manufacturers; and diagnose and resolve problems with the operation of the mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems of machines and equipment such as tracked excavators, forklifts, and cranes.
