The Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy is a four-year degree programme which includes a total of 31 weeks of clinical practice in the last two years of the programme. The first year provides a foundation in Anatomy and Physiology, communication and behaviour, and an Introduction to Physiotherapy Practice. Over the remaining three years you will undertake studies in the various disciplines of physiotherapy including cardiorespiratory care, clinical neurology and musculoskeletal disorders for people across the lifespan. Chevron College is currently accepting registration of interest for a new 3-year Undergraduate Bachelor of Science (BSc.) Physiotherapy Degree which is being run in partnership with the University of East London.

This course is aimed at students interested in pursuing a career in Physiotherapy. The Pre-University Physiotherapy program offers a comprehensive foundation for students aiming to pursue careers or further studies in physiotherapy, sports therapy, and related disciplines. This course would be ideal for any learner who wants to work in this newlydeveloping role. Learners will develop the skills needed to assist physiotherapists with their caseload and, clients with different elements of treatment/rehabilitation.

The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skills and competence to work in a supportive role in the area of rehabilitation and physical disability. The Physiotherapist Assistant’s role will be to work under the direction and guidance of a Chartered Physiotherapist to assess, treat and support recovering clients.

On this course, you will develop foundational skills and knowledge in subjects related to physiotherapy, both theoretical and practical. This will prepare you for progression to Higher Level study.

Students who undertake this one-year course in Physiotherapy studies will gain an understanding of the principles and practices of rehabilitation and an insight into how to assess and treat clients whose movement is restricted by illness, injury, disability or age. Practical classes will be timetabled on-site at Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena and the National gymnastics Training Centre at Sports Campus Ireland Campus.

This course gives students the knowledge, experience, and teaching skills required to launch their careers as professional, confident Pilates instructors.  Over the course of the academic year, students have the time and support to develop their own Pilates practice, while also gaining essential Pilates teaching experience in a supervised setting. Students learn to design classes and develop expertise in offering individual modifications.

This unique course combines Pilates Teacher Training with sports massage therapies, body conditioning and exercise, which is ideal for anyone seeking a holistic and structured approach to teaching Pilates.

Successful students gain an industry standard in Pilates Teaching and up-skill as a fitness professional. On successful completion, students will receive an ITEC Diploma. This qualification will equip learners with the practical experience and knowledge to gain successful employment in the sport and fitness industry. There is also the potential to start your own fitness business.

Pipefitters install, repair and maintain high and low- pressure pipe systems used in commercial and industrial installations. You will work on piping systems that carry all kinds of liquids, gaseous and solid materials, and provide a wide range of services including welding and fabrication in a variety of industries. MTU is the only Technological University or Institute of Technology in the country which offers craft level apprenticeship courses in pipefitting.
