Students are given the opportunity to identify the components of a computer and learn how they work. As part of this course, students will be required to assemble and disassemble a personal computer (PC), troubleshoot PC hardware and software problems, and build and maintain a peer-to-peer local area network. Throughout the course, there is a focus on the development of 'soft skills' such as problem solving, communication, and teamwork. All subjects are taught in a career-focused and interactive way.

Networking Technology is about designing and building computer networks and involves the physical installation and commissioning of networks and connection to the Internet. As a student, you will acquire the technical skills and knowledge necessary for a career in IT and computer networking. 

This course covers contemporary areas of Computer Networking and Information Security. Networking trains the student in all aspects of networks from Ethernet to Internet Protocol through to the configuration of Cisco network routers.

Information Security involves the securing of desktop computers and Networks from cyber attack, using current best practice to install and configure firewalls, Intrusion Detections Systems and anti malware software. The course also covers auditing and forensics.

It combines strong technical foundations with progressive specialisation, enabling students to understand, design, secure and manage complex digital infrastructures that underpin modern organisations and public services.

A mix of theory and practice, this programme explores the development of media and its evolution in the digital age. You will develop your creative media production skills in camera, sound, editing and writing; your digital skills in photoshop, illustrator and adobe programmes; and your critical thinking in Film Studies, Media Studies, Journalism and Cultural Theory modules. 

The course will teach learners the fundamental skills to work in the Media industry across a variety of platforms. The course keeps pace with the ever evolving media landscape. It incorporates the practical skills and tools that allow learners to successfully pursue a career in media and journalism, including researching and writing, radio production, and technical skills. The course is designed for students who specifically want to progress onto a L6, L7 or L8 Media, Journalism or Communications course. Media graduates will have the appropriate level of academic writing and research methodologies to successfully complete a L8 degree.

This module will equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to perform operations in a nursery stock plant production unit.

This three-year course is designed to produce nursing graduates who will have the skills to respond to the changing needs of adults who require nursing care within a variety of rapidly changing healthcare environments.

Successful students will be eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) which will permit them to practice as a Registered Nurse (Adult) in the United Kingdom.

Note: Following the issue of guidance by the Department of Health NI, the tuition fee for this course is fully funded by the Department of Health for students who have been habitually resident in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland for three years prior to the commencement of the course.

This three-year course is designed to prepare you for the professional role of a registered Nurse (Mental Health) who will have the skills to respond to the mental health needs of individuals in partnership with them, their families, significant others and their community. Successful students will be eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) which will permit them to practice as a Registered Nurse (Mental Health) in the United Kingdom.
