This one-year Higher National Certificate prepares students to work alongside architects and engineers by teaching construction fundamentals like CAD, Surveying, and Design. Learners engage in realistic studio projects, using the latest software to visualize buildings from inception to completion. The program also includes practical study trips to further investigate professional architectural technology in the field.

This course provides a strong foundation in architectural design, the built environment, and construction materials, with a focus on design skills, the creative process, and client needs. Students gain hands-on experience with CAD technology, using software like Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit to create detailed drawings, 3D models, and simulations.

This course meets the needs of students who wish to develop a portfolio of valuable skills, for example: Architectural Drawing, CAD2D and 3D, Architectural Model Making and Design. These skills will equip students to find employment in the architectural, engineering and design sectors and/or also to progress to third level colleges. This fully funded Traineeship provides a variety of modules which relate to the design/ drawing/CAD/IT skills required within the construction sector. The BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology and Management course is based on a modular structure across two semesters and is available as a four year sandwich course (although students with the necessary industrial experience may be exempted from placement).

The course is also available in a part-time mode of study which involves students taking the course over five years (there is no placement year), and attending and completing all modules alongside the full-time students. The course leads to the degree of Bachelor of Science with Honors in Architectural Technology and Management.

The DPP (Diploma in Professional Practice) is awarded on successful completion of an approved industrial placement year.

This course is designed to prepare students for entry to Third Level Art Colleges both in Ireland and abroad. Emphasis is placed on research and development methodologies in both practical and academic subjects relevant to Art and Design practice. This approach facilitates the development of a balanced portfolio which acknowledges the students own individual ideas development.

This course allows students to create a personal body of work through integrated art, craft, and design projects in an extensively equipped specialist studio. Students can explore and develop their unique creative interests across diverse disciplines like drawing, ceramics, textiles, printmaking, and painting. Upon successful completion, graduates are prepared to advance their studies by applying to Third Level education.

This course involves practical studio and location work. It enables students to develop drawing and observational skills and to explore creativity and personal expression through a broad range of creative processes including Sculpture, Mixed Media, Printmaking, Painting and Drawing. All projects are broad enough to allow students to develop a portfolio suitable to their particular interests Fine Art, Design, Animation etc. Visits to various art gallerys throughout Ireland takes place during the college term to inform, develop and stimulate the students knowledge of the arts. Work experience takes place throughout the year. It involves two weeks of work placement, artists talks and weekly tutorials.
