The aim of this programme is to equip learners with the knowledge, skill and competency to achieve a QQI Level 5 Mechanical Pesticide Application 5N20435. On completion learners will be able to identify legislative requirements in relation to the use of pesticide, demonstrating understanding of the principles of application by being capable of using a range of pesticide applicators including a boom sprayer, slug pellet applicator and a propelled weedlickers safety, using required PPE, setting up and calibrating correctly and completing all relevant required paperwork.

That’s not all. You’ll also take some business-based modules, so you can learn how to develop a business plan and work with other parts of an enterprise.

While you can go on from this course to work in either mechanical or electronic engineering, our graduates typically end up in roles where they incorporate one into the other.
