The Commis Chef Apprenticeship is a prestigious, state-recognized pathway designed for individuals aiming to become professional chefs. This two-year structured program utilizes a "dual-learning" model, alternating between intensive off-the-job training in a specialized college or center and practical, work-based experience. In the classroom, apprentices master the essential theory, food science, and culinary fundamentals. These skills are then honed and perfected to a professional standard in a live kitchen environment, where apprentices work under the mentorship of qualified, experienced chefs in SOLAS-approved establishments.

This apprenticeship programme is designed to ensure that the apprentice receives training, both on and off the job, which is formally regulated and of a consistent standard nationally.

The duration of the National Hairdressing Apprenticeship will be a minimum of three years with training consisting of 80% on-the-job education and training with the employer and 20% off-the-job training with Crumlin College on a day release basis.

The Hairdressing Apprenticeship is a practical route into a career in hairdressing where you will earn while you learn. Apprentices undergo training while working four days a week with their employer and attending college one day a week. The National Tour Guide Training programme at Dublinia will provide participants with the skills, knowledge and competencies to deliver and manage a comprehensive tour management and guiding service for tourists visiting and travelling in Ireland. The programme is relevant, practical and responsive to industry needs.

There are three modules: Irish Tour Guiding, Irish Natural Heritage & Culture and National Tour Management. Each module carries 15 credits.
