In this course, developed with the aid of industry practitioners, you'll exercise your creativity in areas such as creating advertisements, organising and running events, running a marketing campaign, creating radio and video ads, crafting a digital marketing strategy, etc.

This programme aims to assist people with intellectual disability to take control of their lives by developing their knowledge and understanding of advocacy and leadership. It aims to develop participants’ ability to make choices based on their understanding of rights. The overarching aim of the programme is to enhance people’s independent living skills.

The Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and Masters of Engineering (M.E.) programmes are 4 years and 5 years in duration, respectively. Both include an eight month period of Cooperative Education spent in an appropriate industrial environment. The course provides a broad and practical programme of study, which gives you a good understanding of aircraft design, aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, control, materials, avionics, business and maintenance, and enables you to work in all sectors of the aerospace industry.

Aerospace engineering covers the design and development of all types of aerial and space vehicles. Aerospace engineers bring concepts to reality by applying the principles of engineering to the design, manufacture and operation of highly-sophisticated technologies for use in aviation and space.

Engineers work as part of team using mathematical tools to predict the performance of these vehicles, and perform aerodynamic and structural analysis on evolving designs.

The course content is designed in collaboration with industry partners to meet the needs of the ever-evolving agri-food industry. Topics covered are contemporary and relevant both nationally and internationally. The lectures are supplemented with relevant examples, case studies, projects, assignments, site visits, web tools, and interactive media.

This programme will enable the learner to improve their knowledge and understanding of general business and to develop business skills, particularly as they apply to the rural enterprise and agri-business sector. The aim of the BB in Rural Enterprise and Agri-Business is to provide the learner with a business education that emphasises the importance of rural enterprise and agri business by developing an understanding of the theory, concepts and methods as well as the practical implementation of a range of skills and tools in these areas.

Combining Agricultural Science and Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on power, this degree is designed to deliver high-quality engineers to the agricultural and agri-food industry.

This course provides students with education and training to work within the area of Agricultural Technology. The focus of this course is firmly on the provision of skilled technicians for the farm machinery industry in Ireland. Course content includes tractor engineering and workshop process, machinery operation, electrical and electronic technology, administration and management, engineering science and mathematics, engineering drawing and CAD and computer studies, project and industrial placement together with a high degree of personal and practical skills. Students will be taught a mix of technology, practical, academic, administrative and managerial modules which will prepare them to carry out complex diagnostics and repairs of modern machinery and to be receptive to future technological developments to take advantage of vacancies that will arise within the industry.

Agricultural mechanics are concerned with fault-finding, repair, overhaul and maintenance of farm tractors and farm machinery. These farm machines could include forage harvesters, balers, bale wrappers, mowers, combine harvesters, crop-sprayers, fertiliser distributors, diet feeders, tillage and slurry handling equipment.

Their skills overlap with those of other crafts within the motor family of crafts, therefore they are equipped to carry out some repair work on ATVs (All Terrain Vehicle– Quads), light and heavy commercial vehicles, earth moving equipment, forklift trucks and other vehicles. Besides the normal agricultural tractor and machinery garages, some large agricultural contracting firms employ their own agricultural mechanics. MTU is the only Technological University or Institute of Technology in the country which offers craft level apprenticeship courses in agricultural mechanics. Our facilities give apprentices a unique opportunity to experience the state-of-the-art technology currently being employed in the agricultural sector.
