The BA in Communications is a three-year full-time programme which aims to give learners an introduction to communications platforms including photography, radio, journalism, and TV. Our BA in Graphic Communication Design is a three-year level 7 degree course available on a full-time basis. This degree programme has been designed in response to an increased demand for employees with specific skills relating to Interior Architecture including spatial planning, design detailing, technologies, problem-solving and visualisation techniques and presentation skills.

The course takes students through the fundamentals of visual culture, building science and design principles and equips them with practical studio skills.

This course takes the student from initiation through to successful completion to produce an Interior Design graduate who can create, design, problem solve and act professionally in all related working environments. This course emphasises competent use of language, grammatical accuracy and systematic vocabulary building along with an improvement of German cultural awareness.

If new to Italian, students follow an intensive foundation course in grammar, translation, conversation, language laboratory and video work during their first year, with an emphasis on the communicative use of Italian. Mathematics is the language for the logical study of the structure of our world. It has developed from counting, calculating and measurement through the use of abstraction and logical reasoning.

Philosophy is concerned with central questions concerning the nature of morality, society, politics, art, religion and science. It asks quetions about the nature of reality, the limits of knowledge, and ethics. The aim of course in philosophy is to allow students to develop the ability to reason lucidly, express views clearly and support claims coherently. You are introduced to the ideas of the ancient and modern philosophers who have helped to shape western culture.

Psychology is a science that seeks to better understand people - their thoughts, emotions and actions. The core elements of this course include research, design, quantitative methods, lab sessions, research projects, biological causes of behaviour, child and family psychology, psychology of personality, and social psychology.

This is an interdisciplinary degree with emphasis on both political science and sociology. Students will study aspects of political life and behaviour and explore concepts such as freedom, democracy and equality. The study of Sociology explores topics like culture, identity and diversity. 

Students studying for an arts degree take three subjects in first year, and go forward with two subjects in second and third year. There is also the possibility of an international study year abroad.
