This 2-year Level 6 Sales Apprenticeship programme is an “earn and learn” model, designed to empower the apprentice with underpinning knowledge, skills and competencies required to become an effective sales specialist. It is strongly grounded in the practical experience of providing the apprentice with real “On-the-Job” work experience whilst being supported by “Off-the-Job” learning in face to face workshops and an online learning environment.

On completion of this two-year apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified sales specialist, with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Sales.

The aim of the programme is to offer individuals the opportunity to develop an understanding of the dynamics of supply chains and to enhance their ability to continually improve operational performance. For example, operational performance in relation to the flow of goods and information through the value chain from order, materials acquisition to final consumption, to maximise customer value and achieve a sustainable competitive advantage.  

This program is the ideal starting point for anyone who is interested in developing a career in the electrical transmission and distribution sector, specifically in the installation and maintenance of overhead power lines.

The Diploma in Restaurant Management is designed with industry partners (IHF, Restaurant Association and Fáilte Ireland) to provide a professional career route for two specific groups of individuals, staff building a career in the restaurant sector or career changers. The programme also seeks to attract existing staff working in the sector who wish to gain a qualification and begin a management career.

The aim of this programme is to provide learners with the knowledge, practical skills and competence necessary for a career in a modern ever-changing restaurant environment. This will be achieved by developing modern food and beverage skills in various different styles of food service.

This accredited Level 6 course, Certificate in Empowerment and Advocacy, equips the student with the knowledge, skills and competencies to support people with disabilities in empowering themselves on a day-to-day basis, thus facilitating self-defined visions of a desirable future. This includes guidance and skills in relation to effective facilitation through a number of empowering approaches and in particular, advocacy.

Advocacy is one of the most predominant methods of empowerment that has emerged to facilitate people with disabilities. If you are serious about supporting people to achieve what they want, then advocacy is key.

Journalism is part of the combined campus subject programme at Ulster, Coleraine. It is the only university degree programme in the subject in Northern Ireland and offers you the opportunity to study the theory and practice of journalism in context with determining factors such as law, economics, politics and technology. It provides you with a range of relevant practical and professional skills.

Taking English as a Minor will allow you to develop a critically-informed knowledge of English literature in its historical range and depth. Through the study of literature across different genres, you will hone the ability to analyse text and form critical arguments, both in spoken and written form.

In addition to compulsory modules, you can pursue your own interests through a range of optional modules including 'Restoration & 18th-century Literature’ in second year, or 'Words in Freedom: Modernist Revolution in Literature’ in third year, among others.
