The BBs (Hons) in Business Studies with Event Management includes both the creative and business aspects of event management. During your studies, you are encouraged and facilitated to further develop your creativity and also acquire strong business know-how. By combining technical event management skills with business competencies, you can work and progress your career in a wide range of event-related settings. There is a full semester of work placement and/or the option to study at one of our partner universities across Europe, as well as regular field trips and guest lectures.

This BSc (Honours) in Nutrition and Health Science course is a unique interfacial degree with an equal emphasis on both nutrition and health science. This course provides an approach to nutrition that is based on the scientific and academic principles of biology, biochemistry, social and public health aspects of human nutrition, as well as encompassing emerging issues such as biotechnology, food sustainability and security. This course develops students, across the disciplines of nutritional science, health promotion, research and practice-based nutrition, to build competencies towards becoming an accredited nutritionist.

This degree combines areas such as performance testing, nutrition, physiology, strength and conditioning and biomechanics. Over the course of four years, students will learn the underpinnings and applied disciplines of sports science, positioning graduates as a sports scientist who can pursue further study or work in practice with individual athletes, sports teams and general community and clinical groups to enhance participation, performance and health in sport. 

The Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Sport Management (with international placement) is the only sports business degree in Ireland which guarantees an international placement. We work with students to find rewarding and challenging experiences overseas which will help them develop into leaders and innovators in the sport industry. Post-certification, successful students will have opportunities to work in diverse roles within the sport and leisure industry.

The term sports injury refers to the kinds of injuries that most commonly occur during sports or exercise. In this honours degree, students will become skilled in the prevention, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries related to physical activity. 

This course draws upon expertise from psychologists, nutritionists, exercise and sport scientists, and public health professionals to provide you with the knowledge and skills to improve the general health of various sectors of society using exercise courses, physical activity and nutrition. While bringing together the social, behavioural, biological and biomedical sciences to facilitate the development and improvement of existing interventional techniques. Being physically active and having a healthy diet are important for people of all ages to maintain their health and well being. 

The BSc (Hons) Applied Sports Science with Strength and Conditioning prepares students to work with children, youths, and adults in various sporting environments. This course focuses on the applied nature of exercise science.

The course content will be delivered through theory and practical classes. We place a significant emphasis on preparing students to be able to deliver the knowledge through practical coaching sessions. Over the four years, students will study the components of fitness, the principles of training, sports nutrition, sports psychology, learn how to analyse biomechanical movements and the science of sport.

The BSc (Hons) Applied Sports Science with Performance Technology prepares students to work in an emerging field of sports analysis. This course is underpinned with exercise science to provide students with the background knowledge of developing sports performance.

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the scientific principles and practical applications of nutrition and exercise in sports performance. The key features of this four-year programme have been designed to reflect the dynamic global sporting environment in which sports nutrition, testing, analysis, and businesses operate.

You will explore topics such as Film and the Vietnam War, Witchcraft and Magic, the Russian Revolution, United States' Foreign Policy and many more.

Taking English as a Minor will allow you to develop a critically-informed knowledge of English literature in its historical range and depth. Through the study of literature across different genres, you will hone the ability to analyse text and form critical arguments, both in spoken and written form. A Minor in English comprises of two from the total of six modules you complete per year (three each semester). These draw on extensive staff expertise and internationally-recognised research. In addition to compulsory modules, you can pursue your own interests through a range of optional modules including 'Restoration & 18th-century Literature’ in second year, or 'Words in Freedom: Modernist Revolution in Literature’ in third year, among others.

If you are interested in teaching as a career you may decide to add Education to your degree ‘mix’ at undergraduate level before applying for a Postgraduate Certificate in Education after you have completed your degree. Each Education module usually involves a two hour lecture plus a one hour seminar each week. In addition, you will have the opportunity for undertaking directed independent learning, which will enhance your potential for self-motivated study.

This new pathway to a part time BA in Visual Culture is aimed at students who are not in a position to commit to a full time course by spreading their learning over time.

We run a training Salon. This is to help learners to gain confidence, practice and work experience before they leave the centre. As well as gaining your VTCT qualification learners complete other QQI modules to help with their progression in their new career. This gives learners a great start in their Beauty Career.
