The Employer Based Training (EBT) Programme is designed to help you gain real-world experience and valuable workplace skills through a supported work placement in an area that interests you. It’s ideal for students who learn best by doing and benefit from hands-on, practical training.

The benefit of this training course is that it is designed for students who would like the opportunity to make a new beginning, build their confidence, and explore career opportunities. It provides students with an environment to achieve greater levels of personal development, to develop IT and business skills, and to explore employment or further education opportunities.

This is a QQI level 4 course and is also available to VTOS applicants if eligible. It provides students with a general all-round knowledge in key aspects of horticulture. Students are offered a good balance of practical and theory-based skills including: growing vegetables, horticultural practice, plant care and identification. This course will enable you to gain an understanding of the fundamentals of horticulture with real hands-on experience.
